Great skew!
I upgraded from a 1/2" skew in my starter set to this oval skew, and it is such a big difference. It holds an edge really well, and the size is perfect.

Leaves an excellent finish
I have several Robert Sorby lathe tools, including a 1 inch skew. After receiving this item at a good price and in a timely fashion, I find that the 1 1/4" skew is easier and more comfortable to use, resulting in increased confidence and the range of cuts I use it for. The finish cut left by a skew is much smoother than a gouge, which reduces sanding time. Anyone who has some trepidation about using a skew, should consider acquiring this 1 1/4" tool, and practice, practice, practice.

Very satisfied
The media could not be loaded. I love everything about this tool. Very easy to sharpen, light weight, great design, and I love the Robert Sorby handles, they are very comfortable and have a great grip.
