This spiraling system is a must if you want to kick it up a notch, there are some youtube videos that i would advise you watch prior to using this tool as it really shortens the learning curve for this tool. Great product and great quality

If you want to add a special touch to that wood turned bowl or vessel, give this little tool a try. It easy to use and depending on the position of the wheel you can make various decorated designs on your wood turned items. By changing the direction of entry to the wood you will have many more designs to discover as well!

I love the product . If you have never used one of these the instructions may seem vague. I highly suggest getting a tutorial or video to get the hang of it. Lots of wood turning groups in the U.S. Find a local group and get a lesson. Makes great designs! Sorby has some videos on line and YouTube has a great variety of tutorials on this tool.

This tool can added interesting texture to your projects if you take the time to learn how to use it. There are several youtube videos that walk you through how to use this tool. Once you have some mastery of the tool you can add very interesting texturing to your wood pieces. I use this tool often and would highly recommend it.

Glad I bought this size and not the larger one. Works great for bowls and boxes. DOES take some practice! Don't blame the product if you don't do your homework! A great texture tool!

First and second attempts at using this tool have not gone as planned. First tried a two-pass pattern to create a crossed spiral pattern, but the wood could not handle the stress and the pattern chunked out. Second attempt was a single direction spiral, but I think I need to slow down the lathe more, move slower and/or use more pressure, make only one pass. It's not a first time perfect tool, going to need more practice.

As all tools that need to experiment with this is one of them. I have made one bowl and the design wasn't right the first time so I had to remove it and decrease the diameter , the second time it looked OK . I am looking to see how many other designs I can come up with on some scrapes of coarse . I think that I should have saved and bought the larger tool that has more design tools with it .. This one work great so far , just two wheels for designs and I'm still learning , sorry to be so . long winded .
