Nice and reliable and powerful.
I received the bench grinder last week. It was easy to put together. I tried it a bit. Per other reviews, it's thru is vibrates, mainly du to the corse wheel. But for mine, the vibration is not so bad. Beside that, everything seems all right. Very sturdy. It will last long.

Top quality grinder, sub-par documentation
This is a powerful, well-balanced, quiet grinder that really gets the job done. However be warned that the assembly instructions and are TERRIBLE. I'm mechanically oriented, however my eyesight is not what it used to be. However the fact that the assembly instructions are printed in a ridiculously small font isn't three worst of it. Not a single one of the parts is adequately described - sorry but washer j is really not meaningful. Thankfully the two little parts packets have paper slips inside them that identify their use. In my opinion the "instructions" would be far better with greatly enlarged pictures that don't give each item a meaningless identification and instead clearly state which parts packet to use and leave it at that. I expect better from a modern manufacturer like DeWalt, a company whose tools I've been using since long before their 1992 acquisition by Black and Decker. Documentation complaint aside, the bench grinder is great and really deserves its 5 star rating. It is definitely worth spending a little more and getting a quality tool like this.

quality
This machine is wonderful. When it springs to life, you can feel a powerhouse purring to life with titanic forces. It's beautifully balanced and way quieter that it should be. I bought this to shortcut shaping knives. Even the most powerful sanders seemed to barely scratch the spring steel I like to use. But this thing shapes spring metal like clay. I don't remember how much I paid for it as it has been sitting in a box for more than a year. Whatever it was, it was worth it. Assembly is almost idiot proof. You will need magnification to differentiate the different kinds of washers. You only need to install the two rests and spark guards. There's a trick to getting one of the rests installed-you need to activate a spring release to spin the bolt to prevent the handle from interfering with the tightening. Also, it did arrive with a broken lever, so I had to redneck it with a pair of vice grips. It's such a pleasure to work with a quality like this.
