It does the job. I just think it won’t last too long.

This redaction pen works very well. I work for a County Attorney and must redact documents. This pen covers completely. It has a sharp slanted tip and provides straight lines. The only drawback is that the cap does not fit on the end of the pen.

I initially , when I used the pen, no ink was available. The nib was light colored and very dry. Over a few days with occasional shaking, the ink started showing up. The pen is working now bur I am not sure if it is supposed to start out so difficult to use.

Sorting through 20 years of documents and this redacting pen has made it so much easier to protect us from thieves yet allow us to recycle (if we shred, we have to put the shredding in the trash, not the recycle bin)When you open it up and shake it it sounds like broken glasss in side . Apparently this is normal…keep pressing way down on the tip like pushing it back up into the barrel til it turns black with ink. When using PRESS it down and draw the line

It works, but you need to make sure you have the pen stored upside down as to keep the tip saturated. When it is saturated, it works beautifully. If it is not, you will need to make multiple passes to truly redact it.
