Item was grossly sticky. Can’t wash off the item and it’s hard to wash off hands. I don’t know what it is and can’t believe I would be sent that! It’s disgusting!

I was so excited to find a styling tool that was a flat iron and a small barrel curling rod. It was a special on the fall’s Prime Days. I was so excited about it, I forgot to look at reviews. It was coated with a sticky tar-like substance just like the reviews said. I called the company’s customer service to see if I could use something to remove this but they said it wasn’t their issue it was Amazons. I had to return since it was not easy to get the sticky stuff off your hands and I was afraid it would get all over my hair. Super disappointed!

This is made with “soft touch” plastic which is really just a coating that deteriorates and gets sticky. Another reviewer stated that cleaning it off with 90% alcohol will remove it (thank you!). You will want to go over every part of black plastic and scrub off the sticky coating. Then you’ll be good to use it without ending up with a mess like the other reviewers. Now I have a super cheap CHI backup iron!

i read the reviews after i pulled the trigger and thought we’ll i’ll try to get it off. 90% rubbing alcohol and an old cloth. boom done. perfect no stick!
