The curtains are supposed to be blackout. I wouldn't quite call it black out but they do block a fair amount of light. You can see it in one of the pictures. Through the left curtain you can still see some light coming through. None what so ever comes through the right one but that's because there is a blind closed behind it.The curtains are supposed to come with weight sin the bottom corners. Mine don't have any.Not that it's necessary, but I still removed an extra star for the missing weights.

Old blackout curtains weren't really blackout, & after blind was removed needed something better quality. These curtains provide good blackout. When the sun is out you can see very tiny pinpricks of light but, for me, provide great darkness & privacy. Was concerned with old curtains, that at night, when I had lights on, neighbours could see through curtains & I might frighten them while changing!! But do not have this worry with these curtains. They also have weighted bits to help them hang nicely. Would recommend the black curtains(not having purchased any other colours I couldnt comment on them) Good value for money.

I wanted some curtains for my son’s bedroom but didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money, as he is a teenager and has no respect for anything decent. I was really surprised by the quality of these curtains, after an iron they hang really nicely and really do block the light (I purchased the grey). Due to ridiculously wide windows in my house they weren’t quite wide enough to look ‘full’ so, satisfied with their quality I bought another pair. Delivery great, nice note from the seller in the parcel.

Nice curtains for a reasonable price a good weight didn't need ironing I was looking for a dark navy but these are more a faded navy blue but still nice the curtains keep out enough light for me as I didn't want it pitch black but if you want you room pitch black you could always buy a liner cheep and easy enough to fit..

They didnt seem to be lined or thermal. They really didn't block out the early morning sun either. In fact it, seemed to shine through the curtains still so I sent them back for a full refund.

Bought for bedroom as other people have said very small pin price holes but only visible when shut ,really good especially the weights in the bottom stops them from blowing about when windows opened
