Stop falling for the Abreva marketing trap!
The marketing for Abreva is absolute madness! Every commercial and pharmacy shelf makes you believe it’s the "magical cure" for cold sores, but it’s a total setup. Here is the truth: Docosanol is essentially useless once you have an active, weeping sore. It only maybe works if you catch it in that 5-minute window before the blister even exists. I’ve wasted years applying expensive Abreva to active sores, wondering why nothing happened—because it’s not designed to treat them! If you have an active, painful cold sore, stop wasting your money on the "preventative" stuff and get Campho-Phenique. This is the real deal. It actually dries the lesion out, kills the weeping stage immediately, and gets rid of it fast. I’m done with the overpriced creams that do nothing; Campho-Phenique is the only thing that actually works to clear up an active breakout.
