QUAD LOCK iPhone 12 PRO MAX TPU Polycarbonate Case Black

I’ve always loved otterbox cases for there quality, until I started cycling. I bought this case for my first iPhone 10 and used it for 2 years thinking I would only put it on for cycling but turns out the quality grip and feel is amazing same quality as otterbox and never taken it off. , just got a 12 pro max and ordered same case and it’s also amazing! It’s just bulky or ugly either!

Great case for riding my road bike but I wish the would have more color cases.

It’s not pretty. It’s not lightweight. It’s not cheap. However, what it does do is keep my phone where I put it. Over thousands of miles cycling on paved and gravel roads and trails and my phone has never dislodged. It has a sizable enough lip that none of my phone screens have ever cracked when I have dropped them. So I am pretty happy with it.

I recently switched from an Android to and iPhone 12 Max Pro and I bought the Quad Lock to mount on my BMW R1200GS. Once the phone is on this mount, it doesn't come off. Period. Once locked onto the mount it's really easy to remove. I only wish I bought the Quad-lock with the built-in charger.

UPDATEI did some more research and found that the issue with wireless charging iPhone 12 ProMax through this case does lie with the new wireless charging technology that apple adopted in their new iPhone, which cuts the distance the phone can be from the charger in half. I can’t speak to whether this is an issue for other phones (android, etc), but this case cannot dependably support iPhone 12 wireless charging. Looks like Quad Lock does offer their own wireless charger that locks into the back of the case like its other mounts, and therefore gets close enough to charge, but the wireless charging adapter + a mounting system that you have to buy together in order for it to work costs about $90 (barf!).I’m therefore upgrading the rating to 4 stars, because it’s not necessarily Quad Lock’s fault, but they also charge an arm and a leg for their proprietary work-around. I really love the Quad Lock mounting system, but this is a really hard pill to swallow. At least that’s my take.Original Review:I have been using Quad Lock cases for the past 5 years and love them. I use their handlebar mount in my road bike and their armband mount for running. This is by far the best case/mounting system I have ever used for these applications. The case is low-profile, but strong and keeps my iPhone safe.The biggest problem I am running into now, which somehow wasn’t an issue with older versions, is finding a wireless charger that works through the case. Previously I had an iPhone 8 Plus and wireless charging worked great. But I recently upgraded to iPhone 12 Pro Max and, I don’t know if it’s the magnet/new wireless charging tech that Apple added to the iPhone 12 or what, but I can’t find a wireless charger that works through this new Quad Lock. Very disappointing. Wish I could give this case 5 stars, but this issue is serious enough to knock off two. Sad day.If anyone reading this review finds a wireless charger that works, preferably one that is a charging station for simultaneous iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, please reply!!
