The white stuff on the sweet potato is not mold! It's called malt sugar. Just like the other reviewer mentioned if you've had dried persimmons before, you know what this is. It's the same malt sugar you see on dried persimmons which is very popular in South Korea.To be sure, I did some research and verified that sweet potatoes can in fact also get malt sugar. The sweet potato from South Korea is different than the sweet potato we see in the US. They are very very sweet.Sweeter the sweet potatoes are more malt sugar you will see on the dried sweet potato.These dried sweet potatoes are DELICIOUS!!! Please don't throw them away. If you don't feel comfortable eating the malt sugar, don't buy them.

I've been looking for dried sweet potato snacks, but this purchase is very disappointing. White mold looking stuff with odd smell in the bag. Tried to think it might be sugar but it is not edible and the seller does not take return/refund. Save your money and don't buy this product. Try another brand.

Flavor was a little bland and leaves a sweet powdered milk flavor on the tongue. Texture is nice chewy reminiscent of a gummy treat. But I wouldn’t order again just too sweet for my taste. But if you want a more natural sweet candy type treat then I recommend.

I've tried so many brand of sweet potato snack this one is the best. Hope it gets sale more often.

These are worth a try! Don't expect rich fructose flavor. It's a natural chew with a dusty sweetness. I was expecting the super white ones to be crunchy and they arent. The whiteness is scary looking, sure. That's what happens when you over-dry foods that contain natural sugars. It's not a belly filler. Perfect snack on the go or portion size for mindless noshing.

Tbh I was skeptical with the bad reviews and thought what are the chances of me getting the bad ones... I was wrong. I've had many of these sweet potato treats in my life but I have never seen them this disgustingly expired. All of them were moldy and there is no refund policy for this item so don't dare to buy this plz. I warn you. Wasted my money for trash.

This doesn’t look like in the picture and doesn’t look right.

The person that said "flavorless, semi-gelatinous chunk" is correct. The package says it's normal for it to have that white stuff on it, so that isn't an issue. The product being stuck in one chunk isn't an issue either, the chunk is easy to peel apart. The problem is there is no flavour, maybe a 5% hint of potato, it is not sweet and does not have any "roasted" flavour, it's pretty much a very chewy ice cube that is high in sugar but doesn't taste sweet. I'm allergic to a lot of stuff so I was excited to find a snack that I could try, so I'm fairly disappointed. Other reviewers seem like they can actually taste something, so who knows maybe I got a bad batch. I can tell you though, I am certainly not taking these $5 mini bags of chewy ice cubes as breakfast on the go or eating them between meetings.
