Recommended reading...
This was a compilation of old historical texts, some written hundreds of years after the subjects lived. Still, these texts were a good read and highly recommended. Everyone should read the part about Columbus. It's too bad that certain groups badmouth him without knowing anything about him. He was human and fallible, but he was also driven by what he thought to be Heavenly inspiration. Also interesting was the history of Richard III.

Refreshing
Some were too long, some too short. All contained material New to me. Richard III was hopelessly complex, the tiger was incredible but true.

Action, Adventure and Intrigue in the Life of A Great Explorer
I enjoyed reading the story of Christopher Columbus, in this collection. The details of the life of this famous explorer have been carefully researched from Columbus' personal journal and other historical documents, and fashioned into a fascinating story that reads like any tale of adventure and intrigue. I haven't gotten to the other five books in this collection, as yet, but they will be, no doubt, equally interesting. A great bargain.

Interesting History Collection
I enjoy reading about history and found this collection of works interesting. The subject matter ranges from Christopher Columbus, to the Battle of Hastings. When I’m in the mood to read non-fiction, it’s nice to have a variety of subjects available in one volume. This is something I will revisit as I explore some of the greatest moments in history.

Great history bargain
Simply a fantastic bargain for history lovers like myself. Great pieces written by respected writers and historians with a wide range of interesting subjects. There is so much to learn about various parts of American history, I can't believe this is so cheap. It is well edited and the quality of the research and writing is excellent.
