Good question. This is how I use it. I brush my teeth for the 2 minute cycle from the electric brush. Sometimes I do 2 cycles which is of course 4 minutes. I then rinse my mouth thoroughly. Then I spray the tongue cleaner with 3 spitzes. Do not spit it out. Then I floss. Then I use the 'regular' side and scrap the scrap off of my tongue. I scrap up to 7 or 8 times, making sure I get all of the surface of the tongue. It's important to sometimes hold your tongue to get the very back. Be gentle. If you see a little blood, you're applying to much pressure in that spot. You will know your tongue is clean, when there is no debris after escaping on the scraper. Then I rinse with mouthwash. You will be shocked at what comes off of your tongue. And you will be pleasantly surprised at how fresh your whole mouth will feel. And your breath won't smell until you go to sleep and wake up the next day. Hope you understand my suggestion.
