Very tiny, if I remember. The image is about 1/4" or so. I wanted tiny so they suit me. I had to put them together: adhere the stamp to the wooden piece.

Q: can you stamp this in a canvas fabric?

Probably not. The stamps are teeny tiny (less than 1/2" square) and are made of cheap rubber, so it's super hard to get a "clean" stamp on paper, let alone fabric. Plus these are very delicate/finely drawn images, so i cannot imagine that they'll replicate on canvas. Hope this helps!

Q: Are these self inking or will i need to buy an ink pad?

they are not self inking and you will need to buy an ink pad. You actually have to attach the rubber part yourself, by peeling back a piece of paper and putting it on the block. I did have to later use glue on some of them, because the adhesive didn't work. They are pretty small, but worked well on the small tags I was stamping.
