Great Product
I love this Author. I have tried to buy all her books. Great reads. The title of her books speak for themselves and I would recommend to anyone.

Not what I expected
This book is a primatively worded Third World published rip-off of the famous author's math skills. It gives no real guidance on what or how to teach children, it just tries to inspire by reference to the author's infamous abilities. DISAPPOINTING.

Insightful Book by author popularly known as the Human Computer
This book is totally different from Dr. Shakunthala Devi's other books as you will find this title in PARENTING / CHILD DEVELOPMENT category in publisher listing. The unique feature of book helps in guiding students/teachers/parents/friends/elders about what to Observe, how to Observe for Mathematical shades in surroundings. Another greatness of book is that it tells How to generate interest in maths/numbers/logic.One cannot avoid mathematics and numeric in day-to-day life, even though both of these elements frequently dissuade people due to the complexity they project. This book is a simplified text that helps readers to learn the tactics of observing mathematics confidently. The book comprises of many captivating pictures to stir up interest in the minds of young readers. It also contains many mythological stories and real-life examples that shed light upon the importance of mathematics and why it is interesting, when approached with the right spirit and motivation.Book has 152 nice quality pages and is divided in to 16 chapters. - Chapter 1 : Of Math and Mathematicians ; Chapter 2 : Maths in Everyday Life ; Chapter 3 : Origins of Maths - The Dynamic Numerals ; Chapter 4 : Maths is essential for Success ; Chapter 5 : Awakening the Math Genius ; Chapter 6 : Nurturing Mathability ; Chapter 7 : Language of Maths ; Chapter 8 : Mastering Mathability ; Chapter 9 : Mathability - Problem Solving ; Chapter 10 : Logic of Mathability ; Chapter 11 : Mathability - Making it Easier ; Chapter 12 : Shorthand of Maths ; Chapter 13 : Mathability - Human Face of Mathematics ; Chapter 14 : Eccentricities of Maths ; Chapter 15 : Mathability - The Extra Step ; Chapter 16 : Myths about Maths .The book provides a very beautiful spectrum of mathematical facts in very very simple and useful way. one example you can read, " In the practice of medicine, an experienced doctor intuitively knows that what could be wrong with patient. Based on this and his examination he tells the patient to carry out specific tests. A less experienced doctor might not get this flash of intuition and may have to ask for a wider range of tests to be carried out. Similarly a "math-doctor" practices math based on his experience. This is interesting, because it means you are never too old to learn maths." {page 84}Publisher of this book is Orient Paperbacks; 1 edition (3 June 2002); I have 13th Printing 2013. One unique quote starts a new chapter. Sketches are interesting and graphic/figures are relevant. Parents must read this book to awaken math-ability in their children.I think book is very useful for all readers, any age group. It is easy to read, to understand. AND.. 5/5 stars for AMAZON.Hope you found this helpful ! Enjoy Reading.. Enjoy Learning.. !!

Yet another wonderful book from the genius!
I always hated Maths - Shakuntala Devi's 'More Puzzles to Puzzle you' was the first book to help me look at math from another angle - and also made it fun. I still use some of her tricks for quick calculation. This is another wonderful read - for parents and children.

Good to induce mathematical curiosity in children
Good to induce mathematical curiosity in children. Although should not do many pages in a single go, else the charm will be lost.

Narrative book with very few puzzles
This is a narrative book with almost no questions or puzzles to solve with your kids. I found it disappointing; there are many better books by the same author.
