Car Insulation - 4' x 10' Roll (40 Sqft) Sound Deadener & Heat Barrier Mat - Automotive Lightweight Thermal Insulation

I have an old 65 mustang and it lacked in the sound and thermo departments. So i covered the cars pan with Killsmat and then using 3M spray 90 I added this stuff. Pr cut my pieces and with one roll I covered the full floor pan, side to side front to rear. Before I started I could touch the bare trans hump and feel the heat almost hot. Then added the kills sound deadner and it helps some. But after adding this product now the rug is room temperature now. Well worth the weekend project. My new AC is going to blow cold. Will be doing my roof with this also.

I mainly got this to help cut the cab heat down in my 1996 jeep XJ , it was just as described which is great because I wanted something that wouldn’t soak up water when I get do get water in the cab from creek crossings. It was extremely easy to work with and I really like the fact it doesn’t have adhesive on it. You can easily use spray adhesive but I used it sparingly and used 3M foil tape on the seams and wherever needed. I just finished the install so I can’t really report how it does on heat reduction, but by the construction of the mat, it should be great. This is a great product in my opinion, and USA made at that !

Finally completed installation of this product. First of all, it is light and easy to manipulate and conforms to the interior of the front and passenger compartments as well as under the hood .I used heat reflective tape to attach to the hood, no tape was used for the interior compartments, just slit the area around bends and corners, reattached carpet over it and it was done. Took a long drive and left the hood closed after coming home.No heat on the outside of the hood at all, it was cool to the touch, opened the hood, touched the inside, it was not overly hot at all, that was good, the aluminum did its job. No heat inside he footwells, however, will see when summer comes and IF both compartments will be cooler than before, I live in So CA and I have a cobra,that says it all...so far , I am pleased with it, BTW upon opening the hood, the underside has a shiny/ reflective surface showing under the hood, gives it a good appearance. Its made in the USA...

I used it behind the rear seat of a Can-Am side x side. It cut the noise about 1/3 and did help with deflecting the engine heat. It is not perfect but it helps. I didn’t glue it in because it fit behind the seat bars for a snug fit. I put 2 layers in and unless it moves while traveling I will not glue it in. Make sure to leave access to the engine covers where needed.

Upon completion of the job if the insulation can be seen this is the product to choose the texture is good looking and makes the job look very professional. I covered the inside of my outboard motor cover to deaden the noise. It is easy to work with some good foil tape really makes the job perfect. I have used many different products, this is by far the best for the price. Packaged great to prevent damage (rolled not folded).

Fast shipping from seller. Kind of thin, but I was able to double up and in some areas triple up the insulation by using 3m spray adhesive. easy to cut with scissors or razor knife. Used it to rebuild insulation inside generator enclosure in rv where the old had deteriorated due to age and mice. Worked good for me, I would by it again if I needed to but I have quite a bit leftover.

Purchased this to insulate/sound barrier for a 1951 Ford Pickup. Worked great for the floor of the cab, it is easy to cut, lays down nice, and installs quickly. Seems to be very well made. Not sure how much of a difference it will make, because these old trucks are loud, regardless of what you do. Thank You.
