Deodorant Jar Orange Cream, 2 OZ

I'm not going to lie, regular deodorants kinda freak me out. After my grandmother passed from Breast Cancer, it made me want to look into what I was exposing my body to on a daily basis and honestly, I didn't think about deodorants until one day I just happened to read the ingredients. Now, there is no definitive answer that deodorant causes certain diseases but I'm sure its not good to expose yourself daily to any chemicals...period. So after reading the long list of ingredients in my deodorant I went to the store and bought a couple "all natural" deodorant. Well, those did not work at all. I might as well not have used deodorant at all! haha and one caused a bad rash after using it for a couple days. So I went online and saw Primal Pit Paste, I was a little scared to order it at first because I am picky about smells and I read all the reviews about users getting a rash. But I finally caved in and gave it a try. I got the orange creamsicle one because... who doesn't like that scent and ice cream.So I have been using this deodorant for the past couple of weeks, and I am so surprised. It works great! I had no B.O(for lack of better words ha) and no rash under my armpits.I think washing the product off at the end of the day before bed prevents this. I know I have sensitive skin and I HAVE to wash everything off at the end of the day or it will break me out or give me a rash. If you leave anything on to long it is going to have negative effects especially when it is something like deodorant and its just sitting there with your sweat all day/night or until your next shower. I know 'ew'.Overall, I am so glad I found this product and I will continue to use it until I have to order more. Then I will try out the other scents. :)

I bought this item based on the positive reviews. When it arrived, I loved the scent - orange creamsicle. I applied the paste under my arms and left home for the day. Before I reached my destination, I noticed I had an awful sweaty odor that smelled as if I had not even applied deodorant! This product did NOT work for me. I then had to stop at a drug store and buy the deodorant I always use. The only positive thing I have to say about this Primal Pit Paste is that the Orange Creamsicle smells wonderfully citrus and fresh (while still in the jar)!

Update: This little jar lasted me 4.5 months! Just ran out of my first jar, and will start the second tomorrow. I applied at least once per day, sometimes twice, depending on level of activity/number of showers.I have tried for years to find a natural deodorant without antiperspirant that actually works on me. The best I'd found before only lasted at best two or three hours, less if I'd consumed any sort of animal product. I'm absolutely amazed that 1) it actually works at all, and 2) it has lasted up to 24 hours on a few occasions, even through heavy exercise and heavy sweating. This product does not prevent sweating. It prevents bad odor. The arrowroot ingredient is stated as intended to make you feel drier, and I suppose it does, but since I'm frequently a heavy sweat-er, it tends to feel sticky instead of dry on my really wet days. However, that's perhaps how the odor control lasts so long for me: I'm guessing the dryness keeps the product in place. Since my deodorant goals have nothing to do with wetness prevention anymore, I've learned to only apply deodorant to the front corner of the underarms where odor is produced. As such, I use a small pea sized amount under each arm, so this little jar is going to last a very long time.

After 3 weeks of daily use, armpits became darker and red and irritated in some places, much like previous complaints mentioned. I was really surprised this happened to me because I do not have sensitive skin. I had to discontinue use, and switched to Arm & Hammer Natural deodorant...was skeptical that that would work but it's working just as effectively as Primal Pit Paste without the irritation.As far as effectiveness of the Pit Paste, it worked great for a full day (12 hours). I loved the orange smell. I wish I could continue to use it because I love the natural ingredients and supporting a small business, but the rash was a deal breaker.

I’ve been looking for a natural deodorant off and on for a while. I tried the crystal one and it made me smell way worse than I do with no deodorant. I tried another natural one which smelled great but I felt like it made me sweat more, was greasy and didn’t last all day. My friend raved about Primal pit paste so I decided to give it a shot. I got the orange creamsicle scent which is light and smells great. I don’t mind rubbing it in by hand and it rubs in nicely and doesn’t leave marks on my clothing. I have only had odor one time since using this and that was when I wore a synthetic shirt under a wool coat. The shirt had a mild odor when I took it of f but my armpits still smelled fresh. I even went two days once without reapplying after my shower and still didn’t have odor. I’m really surprised this works so well. It works better for me than store bought deodorant. I’m not especially smelly or sweaty but would sometimes smell a little occasionally with store bought deodorant.My only issue with this was that I got a slight rash under one arm about 6 weeks after using it. It wasn’t a bad rash but still annoying. I decided to reorder the lavender scent in case it was the orange irritating me. I put anti bacterial cream and hydrocortisone cream on at night for 5 days and it disappeared. So far it hasn’t come back so I am not sure if it is the orange scent I had a problem with or not. When I first started using this I felt I sweated a lot but my body has adjusted and now I do not. Overall, I really like this product and am surprised how well it works. I will be reordering and will update if I have issues once the hotter months hit.

...but I couldn't. It WORKS. That it does, but if you have sensitive skin beware.Product does its job and it smells amazing. I got the orange. However on day 3 my pits started do hurt and burn. I skipped a day and tried again. Rash and a LUMP.Now it's a few days later and I'm still rashy and the lump is still there. Just not for me. Wouldn't reccomend for those with sensitive skin.

It is not good for people who sweat a lot because it doesn't mask the smell at all. I was disappointed. I won't use it myself again maybe for my daughter and son but not for myself.
