Very sturdy, work great. Would prefer the handle to have a rubber grip as it's a lot more slippery than expected even with the raised bumps so you have to squeeze the handle harder when using it and that's a little more difficult for an elderly person. But we are overall pleased and keeping them. :)

Needed a safety grab bar for my side porch for my elderly father with balance and poor eyesight issues. My porch is poorly designed and there's no good way to put the usual handrail on. I purchased this because it was a bright color and easy for him to see in any light. This handle worked perfectly. Very bright yellow and has a great grip diameter; not too skinny like many others and has an easy to grip surface. Fit the bill perfectly. Price was good, too.

I've installed a fair few grab rails for my father-in-law, and this has got to be the strongest by far.Normally you get plastic rails that are chunky (like this) or thinner metal ones. This manages to combine both elements of a safe and easy to grip plastic coating over a very sturdy metal inside.The plates you affix to the wall are easily covered up with the plastic face plate that moves out of the way during installation. You get good masonry fixing and screws, although plasterboard walls will need special fixings. There are four holes per end, so you should get a good solid mount even if you manage to bodge one of the holes!There are luminous rings at each end, so if it's dark you'll find the grab rail much easier (such as in a loft if the lights go out, or just generally at night around the home). In any sort of light the bright yellow will stand out. Maybe not the best looking, but certainly safe if you suddenly need it.Not the cheapest, but to be honest I'd rather pay for something as sturdy as this knowing it's going to work when you need it. I honestly don't think I could break it if I tried!
