Works great in 2021 F-150
Was able to add the CD player no problem to my new truck, just make sure you use the data USB near the dash, not one of the other, power-only, ones.Only thing, it doesn't read disk information (like artist, song title, etc). You just get track numbers but I was able to fast forward and control it like a normal CD player.

Works Beautifully!
Awesome! Looking for a CD Player in a Newer Vehicle without one. This is Perfect! Plugs in and 15 to 30 secs later!!! Beautiful!

Don't mount it upright
Works fine sitting on the seat. Skips tracks when mounted upright to car interior. Bummer.

Playing well for about 10 hours (2 weeks) so far.
I figured out how to access it from the honda screen on my crv by trial and error, there are minimal directions.

It does plug and play and is so easy to install.
Having bought this item in February 2020 and have only got around to installing it now April 2020. I have found that it will not play a cd from start to finish but skips tracks. I do not have it on shuffle so that rules out that problem. I can only review my experience with this issue and am not saying this might apply to all other units. Could be that i received a faulty one.

So much potential but let down by CD indexing
Am sadly having to return this item as it does not properly index the CDs I load into it leading to problems with CD playback: it randomly pauses, skips music, tracks and inserts music from another track on current track, e.g. intersperses track 4 into track 3.It is a huge shame for me as the concept is great: it is easy to install and use through the head unit, sounds great and works like an OEM or factory fitted in-car CD player. Shock prevention appears to be very good too.I followed the manufacturer instructions to the letter and also tried this unit on three different cars and sources (with a number of high quality CDs) including a laptop: it did the same thing on each.To me this suggests that the problem is not the compatibility between the unit and the source (they can all play Wav. Files okay); it is that the unit itself doesn’t index the tracks robustly enough when loading the CD leading to files corrupting on playback. This is the second Connects2 / Adaptiv USB CD player that I have tried - I exchanged the first one for this as it had the same problem, albeit worse. It may be the case that if I try another USB CD player it will work fine but I’m going to give up now and start converting my CDs to MP3. Shame :(

Well built unit, but unfortunately it did not work
Well built unit, but unfortunately it did not connect with my van audio USB connection, I have a new ford Transit van with basic digital radio, USB & blue tooth, but it does not have the SYNC features. I followed the installation instructions but the audio system did not recognise the CD unit.

Nice Unit - extension cable didn’t work.
Product is fine and works well. However, I needed to use the USB extension cable, as I suspect most people will, and at this point the unit no longer worked . I needed to buy a shorter usb extension cable (Type A male to female) off Amazon . Not sure whether the extension cable that comes with the unit is charge only or is too long causing signal degradation- however this is not really anything to do with the unit itself but the overall product. Would recommend.
