Sturdy quality; safe design; excellent value
Excellent product - let me count the ways:Background: I am short stature with high countertops; my husband is more than a foot taller than me. I have crooked arthritic fingers (petite), and he has quite large hands with long fingers. I often have problems applying pressure, too. We use it almost daily.Seller was prompt. Excellent and speedy replies when I had comments. (I contacted them to provide positive feedback; I had no worries or problems with the product.)Ease of use:-- enables me to have a very comfortable grip, yet my husband also finds it quite comfortable to grip, too. Not too big for me, and not too small for him.--Although you cannot merely "tap" the top to press the prongs through the guard (Excellent SAFETY FEATURE), you do not need to press very heavily on it to get the prongs moving. The resistance is slight enough that there is no “sudden release.” The prongs smoothly glide.Materials and quality:--The quality metal prongs are thick like a quality fork's tines, and they are quite sharp. They are more like thin nails than fork tines, yet they are not really thin. Even if the device did not have the hard plastic guard, these prongs would be hard to ben.--The hard flat plastic guard on the bottom (that you put against the meat) has holes through it that require the prongs go through straight (also prevents inadvertent bending if you were to press down at an angle instead of straight). It has a smooth quality finish (no uneven surface and no uneven finish). The surface is s smooth quality glossy-type finish. It has smooth rounded edges.--The large red hard plastic "cap" that you press down upon has the same quality and finish.--The device is well-balanced with 3 metal dowels (like little posts) in a triangle around the square layout of the prongs. Although this, too, prevents bending of the prongs, I find a more important benefit is its balance helps me keep the press vertical despite my leverage issues (i.e. height of countertop vs my height).Additional Safety Feature:--If a small child grabbed this, the child would not be able to ‘easily’ tap the prongs through NOR would it be easy to poke those prongs out by handling it (e.g. turning it over and around like an inquisitive inspection). The pressure required to poke them out would not be easy for a tike. However, an older child, such as 7 or 8 years old has adequate pressure to push them through. (If the child assumes it requires hard pressure, the child would push the prongs through.)--One cannot easily get injured. One must intentionally hold their hands in danger while pressing the cap.[My cousin has one and is delighted with hers, too.]

but the outcome was like I said earlier incredible
I bought this little tenderizer really because it was only $10 and I figured it would be worth giving it a chance. This little thing is incredible , with one push it tenderizes about two inches of meat. I had large Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts so I did have to do both sides , but the outcome was like I said earlier incredible. It's a smart design they even took into consideration easy cleaning. I was never one to use a meat hammer because about all it did was smash the meat , and in my opinion ruin it. This thing just pokes multiple holes through the meat and doesn't damage it. Right now I've got 6 large chicken breasts already marinating , and the work to get them just right was minimal. I'd recommend this product to anyone !!!!

Stop beating your meat.
I have used the meat tenderizer twice now on less expensive cuts of meat. I like it much better than the old pounding hammer, and it's not nearly as messy. I used the tenderizer on both sides of the meat, then seasoned and grilled as usual. The meat turned out very tender, I cut mine with a fork. This is a superior product. I would buy again. If you want a Tenderizer that really works, this is it, and the price is great.

Works to tenderize mind meat
It worked, it was a little harder to operate than I thought, I thought it would be easier but the prongs would get stuck in the meat and I had to hold down the meat when I pulled it out, but it did tenderize it just fine. I ordered two units and one of them had a bad scratch on the front of the unit it wasn't bad enough to stop the operation so I'm keeping it. It had a great price and that is the reason I bought it in the first place.
