this product is a waste of money. just received it now and i tried it with my aquarium it create so much noise much noisier than my aerator. also after switching it on and fed up with the noise i pulled it out and the unit is hot...who know it will burn my precious fishes if i kept it on...

Stopped working after a day

I have had the powerhead in my 30gallon aquarium for two days now and it is very quiet. The suction cup does not come off and works well. The powerhead seems to be powerful for a 30 gallon as you can see on the video so as a solution I decided to only turn it on from 5pm to 9pm when I get home, plus my aquarium has many small fish so I had to find a way to protect the fish from getting sucked in by putting a small wire on the powerhead. I don't regret my purchase.

I just installed it and its a great flow. Its pointed down in my turtle tank to move the waste off the bottom and works great. Its in a 40 gallon breeder for reference and not too stronh.. only one downside, i had to redo my entire electrical system because of how short the cord was, so beware. I was scared it would be load but its practically silent!

This wavemaker caught my attention for the price. After reading some comment, I decided to give it a shot. But one, very happy with it. Then bought a pack of 2 couple days later. These are connected to a wifi outlet ( TP-Link ) so I can schedule a timer for turning on and off ( durant night ). Since this, they operate correctly, but when I feed my fish, I turn them off my self then after couple minutes when they (fish) are done eating, I turn them back on and realise sometine they go in reverse move and start sucking in instead of blowing out. Depending on what you have in your tank, can be dangerous for some animal...just be aware.Anyway going to upgrade them for more trustable ones for sure

This little thing works great! Bought a second one a week later. If it last a year at this price it would be an absolute bargain. Not noisy at all unless it sucks some air from the surface. Needs to be about an inch down from the surface to not suck air. The only thing I would change on it is the propeller. It's bright blue on mine and it is kind of an eyesore. A black one would make it blend in a little better. No big deal. Again, the price can't be beat. And for those of you that are replacing old school powerheads, these give much better controlled flow. No more blasting corals with water! I'm sure I will be ordering more!
