Horrible usability
Don't waste your money. I bought this to be able to use it as a standalone unit to log data without a laptop. That is a claimed feature, but in reality, they have made it impossible to use, without pressing buttons thousands of times until your hands fatigue. The software is worthless for any diagnosis, and the usability of the device is designed to abuse the user and punish them for making the mistake of purchasing it.Just buy a 30 dollar laptop dongle from ebay instead of wasting 10 times more on this crap which does the same thing. Thats what I did after buying this.

Two Stars
A bit difficult to set up. But understandable.

Nice, but may not work if you have a newer Ford
This product worked great with my old 1997 Chevy Silverado and I would have given it at least four stars if that was the vehicle I got it for. However, it refused to work AT ALL with my new 2010 Ford F350 Diesel. I'm sure glad I bought it from Amazon, because it's going back. If Auterra comes out with a fix in a new release, I will consider re-buying.

not so fast response, but works
I use it as a vacuum analog display. If you program more than one signal at the same screen the device become noticeably slow. with 4 signals is as slow as 1 read every 2 secs. with the SD card inserted takes 3 secs to record data every 20 secs. I decided to remove the SD card. (not included) You can not change the ratio of the reading: if your car does not have turbo, the intake pressure will never go over 100mbar. so you use only 15% of the dial. this does not let you see small variations. Programing alarms (lights green, yellow and red) is time consuming. It takes 1 hour for one program that uses the three lights. It makes a lot of noise! I believe is the switching power supply for the back light of the display, the truth is, there's a high frequency noise that goes lower when I turn off the back light. This noise is annoying and force me to increase the volume of my music all the time. The scanner works good. I wish this would work with ABS brake computer too. I like it but is not for continuous use. It is good for the price level in the market of this kind of gadgets.

WOW SLOW!!!!
Got the device on the 22nd. Shipping was fast and free. The device is way slow. It takes 2 mins to load another min for each file you access. And if u start the car it reset it self. I do not recommend this product. For the price it should be faster. and at-least look better instead of gameboy graphics.

Lots of setup required, slow to respond
If you think you are going to get an item that is plug and play, you are going to be dissapointed.Once you finally figure out how to set all the parameters to allow the unit to function, it will only be good for that vehicle. For example, wanting to know fuel MPG, have to use GPS to set up correction factors for the unit to read accurate speed. The you are asked to determine your own MPG by using the gallons purchased VS miles driven, and enter that correction factor. so unit is dependent on you entering all the correction factors. Then if you want to move it to another vehicle, you get to do it all over.Maybe I expected too much, a unit that would plug in and use the existing data in ECU to do its calculations. So I am still working with it, haven't given up, but do not purchase thinking this unit is ready to use right out of the box.

OK, if you are a tech head.
My unit did not work very well. Unit was not easy too read my ECU and didn't pull up data well. I returned the unit.

Auterra Dash Dyno = OBDII Code Reader + G-Tech Pro
"I was so excited about this new product, it felt like it took FOREVER to get here! But now that it is here I find that it is a great OBDII Code Reader and a cool automotive performance meter as well. It's like two products in one! As an OBDII Code Reader, it satisfies all my needs. Like the high end code scanners, it can access data stored in your car's memory as well as Live data. The DashDyno provides access to all engine sensors and displays them as a graphical Gauge, Bar Graph, Line Graph, etc., etc. It can even display Turbo Boost as a Gauge - that's cool.Auterra's DashDyno also provides automotive performance assessment similar to the G-Tech Pro. The unit can measure and display 0 - 60 and 1/4 Mile Acceleration times as well as Power and Torque. The Power and Torque graphs that can be displayed on the screen are exactly like what you see in all the Car Magazines! About the only thing it can't do is display cornering G's.In addition, the DashDyno provides a Trip Computer that can monitor Instantaneous as well as Average Fuel Economy - a function that my car does not normally provide. Very Cool."
