The USB-A ports are physically unusable, and the USB-C port is slow. Don't buy this adapter.
The USB-A ports are wider than the physical slot opening in my machine (the same experience documented by at least one other customer). Fortunately, I only care about the USB-C port, which is slower than it should be (~160MB/s, when it should be ~500MB/s). The device was recognized under Windows Server 2019 on my Dell R820, without having to manually install any drivers, so that's great. If it wasn't such a pain to remove this from my server, I would return it. However, it is a HUGE pain to replace it, so I'm just going to be happy with the working USB-C port.Also, the company seems very responsive. I asked a question on here and they answered within an hour. It kinda sucks that the design of the USB-A ports is physically simply wrong.If I had to do it again, I would buy a USB 3.1 card with the USB-A ports turned 90 degrees from this one.

Plug & Play, works with Mac, Windows & Linux
I got a used Mac Pro 3,1 (octacore Xeon 2.8GHz, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD w/1GB VRAM) used at a local pawn shop for under $400. It was a great deal, but needed USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0. This card is plug and play. No drivers needed, no configuration. Works with everything from 10.6.8 - 10.15.7 (i have not tried it with OS11 or 12). Highly recommended!!

doesnt work in 2009 MacPro
Card doesn't work in my 2009 MacPro, system doesn't see the card at all, returning card for refund. There are no drivers for this card for mac, only drivers that came with it were for windows. Seller says it works with Macs, which it doesn't.

Plug and play excellence!
Received item quickly and in new condition. Nicely packaged in easy to open box. Swapped bracket for the low profile one that was included. Inserted it and powered on my computer. Win 10 64 bit installed it automatically and reports them as USB 3.0. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. So nice to have more usb slots available.

Lotsa Bang for Buck
Needed to add USB 3.0 to an older Mac Pro (2010 5.1) for an audio interface and this is working flawlessly. Opened Mac,installed in slot 4, buttoned it up, andit has worked ever since. It was a perfect solution to my needs.

That’s what it supposed to do.
I had purchased a adapter but I wasn’t real pleased with it so I went ahead and purchased this card for my desktop computer. Course I liked that it had extra ports!

This product works great only the three usb ports are interfered
works great, but would be much much better to have just three Type C USB ports in my observation. I am happy with the function of one type C usb

Works with Windows Server
I was looking for a card which works with Windows Server 2012 R2 and this works really well.Be aware that if you use the default Windows drivers you'll end up with Blue Screen Of Deaths, so download and install the Windows 7 driver from Fresco's website. I suspect Windows Server 2016 and 2019 (based on Windows 10) will not require a replacement driver and should work out of the box.

Good but...
Whilst this is extremely easy to install and works great, once the machine has gone to sleep it automatically unmounts any drives attached to it. The drives mostly remount, but on occasion, you will have to unmount & remount drives so that they show up.My machine is a MacPro with 1Tb internal ssd, 16Gb ram
