Not a very deep phone pocket, fits a bit small, but seem good quality
So I got these because I was tired of putting my smartphone in my front pockets, which jab into my thighs if I crouch, kneel, sit, or go up stairs. It does remove that when you put your smartphone in the "tech pocket". The tech pocket is unfortunately not deep enough for modern smartphones. My Nokia 6.1 with about a 5.7" 18:9 ratio screen sticks up above the top of the pocket almost an inch. Two problems with that... one it can easily fall out if you crouch or sit on your knees, and two someone could easily grab and steal your phone because it is exposed. Even my tiny iPhone SE with 4" screen, while actually sits at just the top of the pocket, is easily view-able and thus, steal-able.Another issue with the tech pocket is it sits over the front right pocket, so if you have any sharp objects in your front right pocket like say, keys, they will still be able to scratch your phone. I now have several scratches on my phone as a result, which I usually store screen side in.Finally, I don't really care for the pocket on the back side of the seam.... I would prefer it on the front, otherwise you are sitting on your phone a bit as it rests under your thigh when you sit down. I want it easily accessible while sitting, which it is not.So while this did accomplish the goal of avoiding the phone in one of my front pockets, the tech pocket on this really isn't that great and is too small for a modern phone. If it was on the front side of the seam, was taller, and the front pocket didn't overlap the tech pocket then it would be perfect. As for the pants themselves, I do like them... the first set I got was too small in the waste so I ordered the next size up. they seem to be nicely made and I would expect them to last me a few years. Some decent color options too... but considering these are "tech" pants I was expecting more from them in that sense.

Not up to Riggs standards
I buy a lot of Riggs. Carpenter pants, workhorse jeans, Ranger pants and these technician pants are the first disappointment. Slightly too tight, construction not up to par. Why would they use white thread on the loopers when making dark green garments? And can’t anybody sew pants legs without twisted seams anymore? I hate legs that torque around and can’t lay flat seam on seam. I won’t be buying any more Technician Pants. Too bad. I was looking for a lighter weight version of the Ranger Pant.

Has become my every day choice
I started buying these locally about 2 years ago, but the selection is very small in my hometown. I was happy to see these on Amazon and happy to see the price was actually cheaper than I pay in store here. These pants have replaced jeans for me at both work and home. I've worn a few of them out, but it takes some time. Once they are worn out, they simply become yard work pants or "projects around the house" pants.

Runs smaller in the waist than expected
I'm one of those in between sizes due to the thighs of a life long cyclist. 38's are usually fine fitting, but snug, in the waist but having thighs that are larger than most men from being a life long cyclist, they usually are too snug on my thighs. 40" waist usually is a little loose requiring me to wear a belt, which I normally do with any pants or shorts, and they will fit over my thighs with a snug but not tight fit on them. Relax fit pants with a 38" waist may be a little more forgiving in the waist but will fit my thighs good and 40" waist relax fit will usually be too big on the waist & thighs. If I could find a 39" waist cut in the relax fit style I'd probably be the so happy that I'd wear long pants more than 5 times a year. On those rare occasions I do wear long pants my girlfriend makes fun of me for wearing big boy pants. I have a job that allows me to work more comfortably in shorts plus in Southern California weather is nice enough year round that I can get away with it except for social outings when I must wear the big boy pants. I love the leather sewn into the side of the front pocket so my knife that I'm required to carry for work and feel naked without it, doesn't wear the stitching and fabric away on the front of the pocket. This is far too common with my favorite shorts Kuhl that the front pocket stitching wears out well before the rest of the shorts and my girlfriend will simply throw them in the donation basket for looking bad.

Good work pants and nice enough for casual wear
These are so hard to find in my husband's size at a reasonable price. They are great work pants, so I have to look around to find the best pricing since he has to have several. They are lightweight and seem pretty durable. He tried the ranger pants first and they fit too loose in the seat and legs for him. He's a tall guy with slender legs and these fit him very well. He's 6'4" and buys the 34 length and they are plenty long enough.

Not a fan.
These were a disappointment. I think the fabric is very thin and puckers. The front pockets are much too deep for me (mid-thigh) and the back pockets are too narrow; they're the only pants I own in which my wallet does not fit. Also, the description of the rise reads "natural waist", if you consider your natural waist the navel; I haven't seen a rise like these since the 1940s. The length is too short as well. All in all, they'll see yard work and my garage, but not much else.

Riggs Workwear
I bought my first two pairs of these pants from a local store and was so impressed. They fit me really well and are so comfortable. I was back at my local store and they did not have my size so I went to Amazon. They had the pants I wanted, and even though they were a little more expensive than my local store, I did buy them. I like them a lot and now have them in four different colors. Great product wherever you buy them.

OK
I wanted a work pants that was a bit lighter than the Riggs work pants that I already had. These are much more than "a bit" lighter than I expected. In addition, I find that they fit differently above the thighs. I am going to keep them for wear during the summer but they will be put away until warm weather returns.

Riggs are great
I have owned a few pairs of these now, and there are the best work trousers I have found. It's a great pitty that they are not more readily available in the UK.

keine richtige Arbeitshose
