Design ToscanoMystic Night Raven Gothic Statues, 6 Inch, Set of Two, Polyresin, Full Color

This is quite a nice set, marred slightly by the quality of 'hand finishing' - I've come to realise that this is a risk you take every time you buy a Toscano item. Some are beautifully finished and are little works of art. But sometimes the 'hand finishing' looks as if it was done by an untalented infant.Having said all that, the set I received wasn't bad at all. Check the dimensions carefully before buying - I was a bit shocked that they were so much smaller than I was expecting, but that's my own fault.The only other problem is that on my set, they'd been 'hand finished' with very bright yellow eyes (cross-eyed, too!) They look OK(ish) on the other side of a large room, but anything closer than that and they look really ridiculous. I can see that I'm going to have to do a bit of hand-finishing myself to fix this.So, all in all, just 3 stars. But it's Toscano so be aware that the set you get might be much better (or worse!)

Eyes ....a disservice..otherwise an assured piece..treated myself for Christmas. I knew they'd be small and they measure as detailed. I blacked out the eyes as personally i felt the brightness crass and distracted from the lovely line of my ravens. ...and I love crows ...pleased overall

I bought these for Hallowe'en decorations, but these weighty, well detailed statuettes are staying out all year round now. I have named them Huginn and Muninn. You want some Raven statuary? This pair will not disappoint.
