Mass Effect: The Complete Comics

Fabulous book.It's a bit more compact than the library editions and the soft cover makes it a bit easier to handle than those volumes. Although the pages are a bit thinner than you might expect, they won't tear unless you're very heavy handed.There are all of the comics here, but no commentary at the bottom of the page like with the library edition volumes.There is no table of contents (just a brief list of what's inside on page 4). The order of appearance and page numbers for cover art is as follows:REDEMPTION, 5EVOLUTION, 95INVASION, 185HOMEWORLDS: James Vega, 275 Tali, 299 Garrus, 323 Liara, 347SHORT STORIES: Incursion, 371 Inquisition, 381 Conviction, 391 He Who Laughs Best, 401 Blasto: Eternity Is Forever, 411FOUNDATION, 425DISCOVERY, 713The parts of Redemption, Evolution, Invasion, Foundation and Discovery have no separation - the story flows from one part to the next and some pages do not have numbers printed on them, so it can be a little tricky to navigate at times.Index/TOC issues aside this is a great collection of all the ME comics and a great companion for when playing through the games.

I liked some of the comics stories like Redemption, evolution & homeworlds garrus vakarian.that garrus one had bit tear up a bit, fantastic.Then the mediocre: foundation & homeworlds tali'zora(mainly because of the bad artwork, i thought the story was ok)But then i read some silly or just bad stories like: Blasto eternity is forever,my god this is too silly, just too silly.& Discovery,wow i mean i have played andromeda and completed it and thought is was mediocre just average game.but this last comic story in this collection was not only badly drawn, which i can get passed as long the Writing is good as well as the story.The writing is bad, shockingly bad... i could not finish it.So there is good stories in here as well as the just-ok stories.but there is some bad ones.is it a buy? ...... yep because everytime i picked it up to read, 30mins later i was playing mass effect and really enjoying myself with the games, so the comics were like a starter before the main course.

Mi prendo due secondi per parlare della qualità generale del prodotto, poi entro nel dettaglio di quello che è incluso.La qualità è buona, tuttavia la Dark Comics l'ha intesa come una collection che possa essere fruibile dalla maggioranza delle persone e questo vuol dire che non è un prodotto premium. Le pagine sono molto sottili, infatti e bisogna prestare attenzione per non romperle.[Piccolo appunto la collezione è in inglese e non in italiano].Si sente anche la mancanza di un indice (o di un appendice) qualcosa che renda più facile la "navigazione" dell'utente all'interno del prodotto. È molto corposo (quasi 800 pagine), ma purtroppo senza sapere la locazione dei fumetti risulta un po' dispersivo. Anche perché non sono in ordine cronologico.Faccio un ultimo appunto alla copertina, che è meravigliosa. È vibrante, non solo i colori. L'illustrazione è di Massimo Carnevale e raffigura Aria T'Loak. Davvero stupenda.Fatta questa premessa sulla qualità generale del prodotto, questa collezione include tutti i fumetti. E quando dico tutti, intendo davvero TUTTI.È una manna dal cielo, perché recuperare i singoli fumetti è diventato molto difficile.A seguire indico l'ordine in cui i vari albi e fumetti sono inclusi nel libro e vi do qualche riferimento su dove collocarli temporalmente nella saga:Mass Effect: Redemption (#1-4) - da pagina 5 a 94. Gli eventi narrati avvengono dopo la sequenza di apertura di ME2.Mass Effect: Evolution (#1-4) - da pagina 95 a 184.One-shot che avviene prima di ME1.Mass Effect: Invasion (#1-4) - da pagina 185 a 275. Prequel di ME3.Mass Effect: Homeworlds (#1-4) - James da pagina 276 a 298 / Tali da pagina 299 a 322 / Garrus da pagina 323 a 346 / Liara da pagina 347 a 370. Serie che si concentra su 4 dei personaggi più amati e che avviene prima di ME1.Mass Effect: Incursion - da pagina 371 a 380. One-shot prequel di ME2.Mass Effect: Inquisition da pagina 381 a 390. One-shot post ME2.Mass Effect: Conviction - da pagina 391 a 400. One-shot post ME2.He who laughs best - da pagina 401 a 410. One-shot che avviene prima di ME1.Blasto eternity is forever - da pagina 411 a 424. One-shot su Blasto lo spettro Hanar.Mass Effect: Foundation (#1-13) da pagina 425 a 712. Serie incentrata sul personaggio di Maya Brooks, di cui segue tutta la carriera (appare sia con ruoli principali che secondari).Compaiono tantissimi personaggi dei giochi in questi albi: Wrex, Ashley, Kaidan, Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Thane, Mordin, Kasumi, Zaeed.La serie inizia prima di ME1 e si dilata temporalmente fino a prima dell'inizio di ME2.Mass Effect: Discovery (#1-4) da pagina 713 a 794. Serie che segue le avventure di Trian Kandros e si colloca temporalmente dopo ME3 durante gli eventi di Andromeda.

All I’ll say is this: If you enjoyed the games, this is a must have. The book is a lot bigger than I imagined. It’s filled with short stories that link up with the games.I’ve been a fan of Mass Effect for a good few years now. When the Legendary Edition came out, I became obsessed. This book is worth its weight in gold. Get it!

Preordered in April arrived in NovemberDark Horse have outdone themselves here!If you read the other reviews about it being flimsy well yes it's a big boi but the pages ripping easily thing well it's paper so be gentle.But this beauty of a book was well worth the wait. Plus so much is crammed into this book adding more to a truly incredible franchise. If your new or a veteran of the franchise or comics get this before the reapers do!
