Downloaded manual very useful. I want to use it for model railway, but am quite ignorant. Device seems complicated but instructions are pretty good, even for me!

Easy to use & info out there to make sure you use it correctly to get the results you need.
Needed to test car battery and alternator (crank no start). Thought my battery was still good and alternator too, but it is pretty much an easy and cheap first port of call. The multimeter struggled to get a solid reading and I therefore thought the multimeter was the problem. Bit of research later I found it may be dirty battery terminals / connectors causing the problem instead. Yes. I cleaned with the baking soda/water mix %, re-checked (nice solid reading of 12.37), fully charged battery for extra ommph. Re-cheked (13 full charge). Car started :-) Checked alternator, no problems 14 plus, car lights on...the same. Fantastic. So I recommend this handy multimeter and it taught me to have clean battery connectors...who'd have thought? PS I am pretty useless at dealing with cars, but this multimeter is a gem. Not sure how tough it is, but I think if you treat it gently it'll last.

Bux and bangs
This multimeter is about 1/3 the price of any multimeter of its kind in my range of in person shopping. I have tested it against so called "better" units and it consistently tested accurately. So it may not be feature packed but it is a very capable tool. Bang for buck is un beatable for this price! I actually prefer it to my 50 dollar Mastercraft unit!
