Par Excellence Producers Yellow Rice, 3.5 lb.

I have a family who loves yellow rice. Chicken and yellow rice, black beans and yellow rice, ham and yellow rice. They LOVE yellow rice dishes. So when I found this large sized container, I decided to try it. Oh my goodness ! It's delicious ! It's handy to have around. It makes a lot. I bought two containers, but I've made two or three batches of it, 2 cups at a time, and I still have at least 3 1/2 or 4 cups left in the first container ! Economical, delicious, and easy. By the way, I make this in my microwave rice cooker. Follow the directions for the oil, rice and water, amounts, on the container. Into the microwave rice cooker on high power for 20 minutes. When the bell goes off, don't open the microwave. Just, let it rest in the unopened microwave for 10-15 minutes, to finish cooking from the residual heat. It comes out perfect. Fluffy, beautiful and tasty ! We love it.

I have been using this rice for a while and have been pleased with the ease of use and the flavor. I found that this is very easy to microwave and use for a variety of meals. My family is especially impressed with how well it goes on homemade burritos. It always cooks up perfectly consistent and gives off an appetizing odor as it cooks. My Brazilian dil loves this rice and is always happy when we serve it.

I really liked this rice. I first tried it in my new rice cooker, and ended up with a wet glob of mush which ended up in the trash can. I then made it on the stove per the instructions, and ended up with a perfect rice consistency. So, I recommend making it the manual/stove way, and not with a rice cooker. I really liked the taste and blend of spices, but the next time I made it I added additional dried parsley from my gardens, and some hot pepper flakes. It was absolutely delicious! I was glad that you could not taste "garlic", as too many already seasoned foods add way too much garlic for my taste. (You can always add more if you like your food to taste like garlic.) I recommend this rice blend for a nice, quick (25 minutes) and easy rice dish.

Very mild flavor, but very good tasting. It is a little under my personal preference for the strength of flavor. I have been reducing my salt intake. I had no idea how salty things are. Most processed foods are heavily salted and my kidneys are failing. The flavor may strengthen since the spices may have migrated to the bottom. I dumped the contents into a gallon zipper lock bag. This seems like a great starting place for othr things. Instead of using white rice with cream of mushroom soup and chicken, I am going to try it with is. Adding vegetables will be great. Yes, it is worth it. A good value.

Got this yellow rice to use when I make burritos and family enjoys it! It's easy to make, tastes great and allows me to add to meal prep without needing to make it entirely from scratch so it saves me time. There are instructions on the label for portion control so you can make enough for your needs without making too much. It's a repeat order for this house.
