Great recreational tent.
This tent is great! I love the vestibule and the space inside. It is easy to set up. The only downfall is no windows, but the inside dome of the tent is all mesh. It does get warm in the sun, but I would think most people are not in a tent in the middle of the day. It has not leaked and is a nice family tent for recreational camping.

GREAT TENT!!!
We used this tent every single week this past summer, from mid June through the end of August, with the number of nights varying from 2 to 4 nights. The tent worked well! I use a queen air mattress and my tween son uses a single air mattress. The door was plenty big enough to get the inflated airmattress into the tent with no issues, There was over about a foot of space between our two mattresses, as well as over a foot of space between the matresses and the end of the tent which was perfect for our clothing and such. Through the course of the summer, we dealt with as low as mid 30's temps at night all the way up to 105 during the day, depending on where we were camping. Also dealt with tremendous wind and rain, as we were caught a few times in some pretty serious thunderstorms, wind storms and downpours. The inside of the tent stayed nice and dry. But, I DEFINITELY would STRONGLY suggest that you use the tiedowns on the fly if there is a chance of much wind, as in one of the serious thunder/rain/windstorms that we got caught in, the sustained winds were 20mp, with gusts up to 50mph. I had not done the fly tyedown as the day before, and earlier that day the weather was perfect. The storms were only supposed to be a 15% chance, and came out of nowwhere. The tent nearly fully collapsed with us inside of it due to the wind. My son held it up while I secured the tyedowns into place. Once I did that, the wind was no issue for the tent! Definitely a 5 star tent for us!!!

Overall a really good tent.
I bought this in a whim for an impromptu camping trip. I have not had any issues and I like how much space it gives you. Very comfortable and Coleman has kept up to its name.

Really good tent.
Very roomy and with a large vestibule. Did not leak when we were caught in the rain. Holds up really well. I really like this tent

Set it up for 3 days and it stormed and dropped about 1" of rain tptal and it didn't leak.
I just purchased the Coleman Skydome Camping Tent with Full-Fly Weather Vestibule 4 person, and extended vestibule., On this one the fly goes all the way to the ground, and there is room to sit inside the vestibule with 2 camp chairs. It's been airing out for 3 days so the tarp smell is not as strong, and isn't objectionable. It arrived with all parts and nothing broken. While I've had it up we've had 2 thunderstorms with about a total of 1" rain and no leaks. I believe its going to meet all of my needs for myself and my labrador retriever, and I like that when its raining you can open the vestibule to go in and out with rain coming down inside your tent. I think that if I lived in a warmer climate, I might worry about air flow, but I live in the Rocky Mtns of CO at 7450' and camp at even higher elevations, where it is even cooler. I'll be able to leave the upper portion of the door unzipped to reveal the screen and leave the front of the vestibule rolled up to get more air, if needed. The only thing I didn't like was that the sides of the rainfly didn't have a way to stake out the fly away from the inner tent for more airflow, but I was able to fix that by using tarp clamps with twine attached, then staked out to pull the fly away from the inner wall. I've been looking for something like this for about a year now, and I like that I can stand up in it to change clothes with only slightly stooping. (I'm 5'5") I have 4 other tents of varying sizes, and this will be my 2nd Coleman. My other Coleman is an 8 person with 2 rooms, and an attached screen room that I've had for about 15 years and am happy with. I also like that the storage bag it came with has an expandable bottom so it is easy to get everything back into the bag with room to spare.

Good tent just a little smaller than I would like.
I bought this tent to replace an old Field and Stream tent that I had for many years that finally gave up. This was the closest tent to that one that I could find and Coleman is a great brand that I have always had good luck with. My only real complaint is the size. It's a little smaller than I would like. I definitely would recommend getting the 4 person tent if you want to got two people comfortably or if you want to use a cot or thicker air mattress

World Class Piece of Crap
I'm a lifelong Coleman loyalist as my dad worked for Coleman when I was a kid. Every tent, cooler, lantern and cookstove I've ever owned has been Coleman. I stick with the brand because of the quality of the product and years of great camping trips with quality tents that never failed me. I bought the Skydome tent because I needed a larger tent for family camping vs. solo camping and because in my experience the vestibule is invaluable for off-grid camping. This tent had great reviews and is advertised to withstand up to 30 mph winds.Within 4 minutes of putting up the tent (which is ridiculously easy to set up) the tent was broken. I set it up, went to the truck to get a camera and a gust of less than 15 mph came up and the vestibule pole broke at the joint. I want to stress that the wind was barely a gust and more a decent breeze and the tent absolutely failed. In addition, the Velcro built to wrap around the tent poles pulled away from the rainfly in no less than 5 places and made the entire tent offset. Ever time the wind came up (again, verified by national weather service to be 15mph or less) the vestibule collapsed and caused the rest of the tent to offset and pull at the seams and tear. The zipper to the front door of the tent constantly jammed. Not a single time was I able to open the tent without the zipper getting stuck. It was beyond frustrating. The sidewalls of the tent were mesh intended to be covered by the rainfly, but when the rainfly and vestibule failed and the rainfly offset, the rainfly did nothing to keep out the rain from the mesh sidewalls. Yes the tent is roomy, but what use of plenty of room when it constantly collapses on you and lets in rain? I'm beyond disappointed with this tent and the whole experience with Coleman. Don't know how I can trust the product again. DO NOT BUY THIS TENT.
