3 Pack NPT 1/2"Male x G1/2" Female Brass Pipe Fitting Reducer Thread Adapter

I bought a 20” x 24” four burner Hobsir gas stovetop through Amazon a year ago. Previous customers warned that the stovetop did not have compatible connectors to American copper & brass gas piping. I discovered this was true. The 1/2” male treaded connector is straight threaded not tapered for American standards. These fittings provide the 1/2” straight female threaded connection necessary for the stovetop with a 1/2” male tapered connection necessary to connect a 1/2” female flair gas fitting on a 1/4” copper gas pipe. Regardless of what you use for gas tubing size you should be able to find tapered thread gas fittings to connect your stovetop.

This three pack was just the ticket for a little propane on-demand water heater I came across. The threaded inlets and outlet on the unit were not tapered and so attaching national pipe thread fittings, while sort of possible, didnt inspire a whole lot of confidence. These gasketed adapters did the trick nicely, allowing me to complete the job with normal npt fittings. I put them on with blue pipe dope, not to seal the threads, but to act as a thread locker.

These fittings are for changing from metric to npt You will need these if you buy a tankless water heater from China. But they work great

I'm not sure why Delta chooses to use IPS pipe threading on their shower pipes and accessories, but it's annoying because every other manufacturer seems to use NPT (tapered) pipe threading and the two are not compatible. Nonetheless, these 1/2" male (IPS) to 1/2" (NPT) adapters solved my issues completely, were inexpensive and seemed very well made!

Used it to connect thermostatic valve (inexpensive one) to our rv. Convenient pack since it works for 2 inlets and a shower outlet. Came with the necessary gaskets (and some extra ones too). Use with ptfe tape, tighten well. Note that these are to go from g1/2 female which is British standard, needs really tight fit on that end. The other end is npt thread (which may give problems with shower hose threads but it does seal)

This item has saved me twice with extending the shower line with drop ear copper elbow set back too far in wall. Some higher end shower arms don't have extension over 1". If threads are set further back then use this and add a compatible finish escutcheon (because now it may extend too far out). This item has the proper threading for the brass fitting and shower arm.
