SHIMANOSPD-SL Stollen-Set

After a year on yellows I decided to go up to Blue. I really recommend it: the in/out is just as easy, but the position hold is firmer and sharper. I'm still a bit peed off at the short life of Shimano cleats. And I don't take long walks on concrete in my coffee breaks. However, don't use the non-Shimano "compatible with" varieties - the 2/3 £ saving isn't worth it - they wear out even more quickly.

The cleats are great! I've used them in training and competing and they're still going! However, I ordered two pairs and only one pair arrived. I have contacted the seller and I haven't heard back from them. So if you want more than one I'd recommend you buy them separately.

I wore my new cleats one time and when I got home from my bike ride I noticed the blue side of the cleat had broken off. Seriously?! After one use. You have got to do better with making these things. They are supposed to be durable enough to last a rider for a while, especially if you use cleat covers like I do. I have contacted the seller to see if he would replace so that I can have a properly working cleat. We shall see! I have included pictures of the cleat after my bike ride.

Definite upgrade from the high-float yellow cleats. Only downside is that you REALLY need your shoe/cleat/pedal fit dialed in. If you were off on the yellows, the float would let you adjust. Not so much with these. You will be able to tell if you are off after your first long ride. However...Cannot recommend these cleats highly enough with a proper fit! Really locks you in tight for throwing the hammer down in sprints, but releases easily just as other SPD-SL cleats. The perfect balance between Yellow (high-float) and Red (no float) cleats.
