Atheneum Books Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

My sister and me loved this book, we used to get it out all the time at the local library. When it disappeared, we asked the librarians to find it. When they couldn't, we waited, and we asked again a few weeks later. They couldn't again...That was in 1983 and we've been looking for it in childrens' bookshops ever since. Everyone with children should have a copy of this and I'm overjoyed to be able to order it for mine - nearly 20 years since I last read it. This is a truly memorable book and to this day, I still can't look at maple syrup pancakes without smiling and thinking of them smothering the ChewandSwallow school. Happy days are here again...

This is a high quality print of the book, which is good because the illustrations in this book are simply gorgeous. This is such a funny book and both my 2 year old and 4 year old have simply loved it.

So pleased I came across this book - don't imagine it's a baby's book because of the board format. The text is well written, illustrations fantastically detailed and attractive. I used it for a block of Year 3 English lessons and the children really enjoyed it. Went on to buy two others in the "series".

This was a present for my 3 year old grandson and he loved it. I had heard it read to one of my other grandsons and thought it was a really good, imaginative story, with excellent illustrations. It keeps them enthralled and leads to all sorts of ideas.
