Sturdy
This might be tmi but for some odd reason I can’t do any crunches/sit-ups anymore without having major pain in my stomach, feels like a huge Charlie horse. It’s obviously something I have to bring up to my dr. soon. I used to be able to do crunches/sit-ups like nothing. Since this has been happening I’ve been searching for workouts that involve using my core without any crunches or sit-ups. I heard about these disks on yt. I liked the reviews on this one and have been using it for a few days. Definitely worth buying. It’s sturdy and I can feel that I’m getting a good stretch to my back as well. 100% recommend.

I bought it because the diameter is bigger than others. Price $57 is not cheap for this plastic thingy. But it works.

Great for watching TV without being sedentary!
I have extremely limited space at home and can’t fit anything bigger than something to stand on in the living room, but I wanted something that would offer me exercise in that room specifically, to make TV time healthier. I’ve only had this for a couple of days, but I love it. It’s quiet enough that you can definitely use it (without scaring your chihuahua or cats) while you watch Netflix or something, and not feel like a slob just sitting there the whole time. Honestly, this is such mindless, easy exercise that you don’t need willpower or anything else to get started with it. I like exercise, but I’m trying to find more ways to add movement into my day aside from my intentional exercise sessions. Intentional exercise requires forethought, requires emotional energy sometimes, and it can be hard to get going when you’re feeling lonely or disorganized or whatever else. A lot of us struggle the most with finding the mental stamina for turning off the TV and taking that first step toward the things you wanna get done any given day. This will help! Do it for a little while and your fatigue will wash away because your blood will already be pumping while you watch your favorite show, etc. The twisting motion is known to be very healthy and stimulating for internal organs, the vagus nerve, and circulation, as well as various detox processes in your body. After using this for 15 minutes my whole nervous system feels warm and stimulated. Pull your belly button in towards the back of your spine to exercise the inner abdominal wall more intensely (the muscles that act like a girdle around your gut). Bonus: if you lean forward and to one side and hold onto something, you can switch to targeting the obliques on each side. I really like that it seems to engage my back muscles, especially, because they are neglected by most ab exercises. I’m wondering if using ankle weights can increase the resistance for a greater toning effect as well. I struggle with knotty sharp cramps in my ribcage from fascia issues and things, and this twisting motion aggravated those for a couple of minutes, but afterwards I felt WAY better like the connective tissues around my chest are getting a nice stretch and some toning to untangle that fascia. Anyone with fibromyalgia or EDS will understand what I mean. I expect it will also help decrease inflammation from endometriosis due to the increased circulation without having to scrunch up or bend my abdomen, which is another issue I have that can make certain exercises difficult some days. Highly recommend to fellow spoonies!

Large size is convenient
Nice to use, and the large size (compared to the usual ten inch) but the cost difference isn’t worth it.
