ART DualXDirect Dual Professional Active Direct Box

We had a soloist at church who used an unpowered instrument with passive pickups. It was almost impossible to hear the instrument in the audio system. Knowing she would be returning I decided to purchase an active direct box. This box completely solved the issue the next time she played. The internal pre-amp is powered from phantom power provided from the sound console. I turn it off when not in use.

I needed an active DI box for my home rehearsal equipment. This product works perfectly. I use one channel for my iPhone, so I can hear the music I want to learn/play to. I use the other channel for my keyboard. Works great. And since 3 of my xlr inputs have phantom power, I use two of them with his DI box. No need for a battery! Great product. Sound is crystal clear! The 30dB pads work well, too.

These are great direct boxes. I've had a single version for many years. Needed a stereo version and got this one. Very quite and lean sounding direct box. Well built and runs great off of the phantom power from the mixer.

I had a guitar looper pedal with a loop that I want to run through a PA channel. I run it through this device first and it works. It sounds great. It pulls phantom power from our digital snake so I don't even need a battery. One of the simplest solutions to an audio issue that I have dealt with in a long time.

Works well. Active power via included 9v or phantom. Combi inputs, 1/4" thru channels, and balanced XLR out. Just what I needed to run a very mobile iPad / BiasFX setup for guitar in small venues / practice. Self monitor from the through channels. Easy peezy.

I wish I would have tested earlier, now I’m stuck with a crap device that doesn’t isolate noise like it should. I have two others that I swapped on same line and they took out the crack and hum. Waste of money don’t buy.

Does what it is expected to do and does it well.

This is by far, the very worst DI I have ever had the unfortunate experience of using. Needed to use it when a DJ came on stage with a controller with RCA outputs. It has something very wrong at the input stage from the DJ, as it degraded over time, as if some capacitors were being charged up slowly and causing the interface to degrade. Absolutely ruined the DJs sound and the show, right in front of 4,000 people. Highly not recommended when you need a stable box with decent sound.
