Excellent!
First impression out of the box is that the materials are great... the 20L dry bag was a nice surprise too! Easy to adjust and feels really comfortable... the foam is much thicker than I expected it to be. The regular seat was killing me after about an hour so I upgraded to this one... It's an expensive upgrade but worth it if you're spending lots of time on the water and want to be comfortable. No regrets!

Great back support. Easy install
For me this seat was worth every penny! I had surgery on my L1 which there wasn't much disk left them I have 4 other herniated disks. It got to the point were the seat that came with Tamarak kayak would only allow me to fish for an hour before my back started hurting. This easy to install what seams to be so far high quality seat has solved all that. Plenty of adjustable back support an the seat itself that stays in place is comfortable. If your needing a seat with back support or just like having back support this seat is for you. I also found I don't get as wore out paddling so far because of my posture.Been busy but to update. I took the kayak out fishing 4 times on a Friday an felt great when I woke up Sat. mornin. I ended up taking the kayak back out 4 times Sat. fishing. Felt great all weekend not a single back issue. The seat all though pricey paid for itself in one weekend. There's nothing worse than doin what you enjoy but knowing you'll be wore out an in pain the next day. Not anymore!!

Fits a Hobie Revolution
I installed this seat on a 2010 Hobie Revolution kayak, which uses a troublesome seat attachment method. I was able to install this seat using 4 of the Hobie pad eyes already on the kayak. The seat seems very well made and feels better than the standard Hobie seat, but one minor quibble is that tightening the straps that go forward in an effort to increase lumbar support, tends to pull the edges of the seatback around my torso thus pressing into the kidney area on my sides more than my lower back. The seatback would have to be very stiff to keep this from happening, so there's really nothing you can do about it. The straps on the rear of the seat are adjustable for both height and length, and by taking my time I was able to lock the seat in place very nicely. Overall, this seat is much better than the standard Hobie seat, but you'll still get sore spots and need to get out of it every few hours.

Thick padding on bottom causes balance disruption
I liked the seat, but the 2 inches of firm foam raises most of my sit on tops to an unstable balance. While it is comfortable, the additional height from the seat area causes the center of gravity to be just enough higher as to make the kayak feel tippy. I will tryout this seat on my other kayaks and see it the same balance issue persists.

Thought it would be more comfortable
Comfort is not bad but not as comfortable as I expected, especially considering the cost. Getting straps adjusted properly takes some trial and error. No instructions or recommendations on adjustments. Like the back height and support.

I found out they have one with a zippered pocket after and would have preferred the zipper pocket in the back but other than tha
I paddle about 18 miles down rough coastline about 3-4 days a week in the summer as a napali coast kayak guide. This seat has changed my life. I had all kinds of back problems before and now this seat really has helped, I found out they have one with a zippered pocket after and would have preferred the zipper pocket in the back but other than that this is a great seat and very adjustable.

The Best Kayak Seat Ever!!!
The best seat ever! It is unbelievable the difference these seats make in my kayaking experience. Neither my bottom or my back hurt after spending a couple of hours seated in it. I am 5'2" and love how high the back is and how supportive it is. I highly recommend this seat to anybody looking for a new kayak seat.

Back Savior
Extremely comfortable, easy to attach and adjust. The foam is super thick and it seems very durable. Worth every penny.
