Apothecary 871893 Shave Cream, 3.38 Ounce

I really like this shaving cream, although I don't get either sandalwood or vanilla from the scent. The scent is very nice, however. A tiny bit lathered up very nicely with a brush and a bowl, and the scent is strong enough to enhance the shave without being overpowering. I shave before I shower, and even after the shower, I still had the scent with me. I suppose that's a bit of a double-edge sword, as some people might not want the scent with them all day, but I like it.

The scent is a little stronger than anticipated but it is not BAD smelling, and overall its a really good shaving cream.

I don't give 5 stars easily. This is one of the best bang for your buck shave creams, and this is coming from a bit of a shave snob. Deep, rich lather to go with a deep, rich smell. In fact, one of the best creams I've smelled and used in the last 5 years. I'm usually a TOBS user, and I think the lather beats TOBS.

The one with the swirls is the one my son has been using. He likes it so much I purchased another. The one that looks half gone like it wasn’t filled all the way is the one we received. The one he has been using has more in it than the one we got from Amazon. Not sure if there was a fluke in the filling of the can and it was just passed down the line or if something else happened. Very unsatisfied. This is a very bittersweet memory of his grandfather that passed a day after his birthday. Hopefully this can get rectified.

The delicately-scented lavender and vanilla shave cream is my favorite out of at least 10 different soaps and creams I have used. It lathers quickly, goes on smoothly using my silvertip badger brush, and forms a slick, creamy substance. Shaving with Apothecary 87 is a pleasure.

I love this. The smell is great and it leaves my skin silky smooth. Will definately buy again when I finish this one
