Exceeded my expections
This is a very useful medium size toolbox, may not hold-up to heavy abuse, but is plenty strong for home or auto use. It has an easy to open latch, two storage compartments on the lid; very nice for small items, and a lift-out tray inside the box. The box itself, is nice looking and is large enough for carrying several tools, including a hammer. I am very pleased with this toolbox; it exceeded my expectations.

Great Style, Great Brand and Reliable Box
I use this toolbox for my art supplies and it is perfect. The top shelf is slightly smaller the the width of the box, leaving a gap for larger items that may not fit underneath. I like the style and look of it and it's very durable; I plan to buy more. The main draw-back is the exterior top boxes, it appears to be two large compartments, but each are actually quads or 4 smaller boxes. It would've been nice if the separators could be removable since I may want to put large items in these tiny boxes, but it would work better for things like screws, nuts, paperclips, etc. These top compartments also take away from space within the toolbox, mainly from the top rack.

Pretty decent box for the money.
This box is what I needed. I didn't want a box that was to big or to small. It's just right for my needs. It's 16 inches wide and about 4 or 5 inches deep. Which is a pretty good size for around $10.Pros:1: decent amount of space for a mid size box2: two spaces on the top lid for stuff like nuts & bolts & other small items.3: it's got a hole on the lid for a lock.4: easy to open latchCons:1: Can't really tell where it's made (most likely made in China)2: rear joints feel a bit flimsy so I wouldn't try bending it back all the way.3: hole for lock is pretty small and doesn't fit all padlock sizes.Aside from a few minor quirks, it's a pretty good tool box for the money. I can fit several medium sized screw drivers & a few other things like wrenches, nuts and bolts, super glue, masking tape, ducktape, and many other medium sized tool items.

Great basic toolbox
Has good overall room and a tray for smaller tools plus a couple lid compartments for screws, small drill bits or whatever small things you want to keep handy. Holding up great so far and like it very much.

Sturdy, Well Built, Just the Right Size
I keep most of my tools in a large rolling tool chest, but sometimes I need to take tools with me in the car. The Stanley 16 inch is on the small side but works perfectly for my needs. Despite the small size, I can fit a surprising number of tools in it. The two compartments on top are nice for smaller parts that got lost in the bottom of my old toolbox. The latch on this box works better than expected.

What I like most - as long as everyone remembers to put ...
Just the right size for household tools. The two yellow hinged lids on top open to let you house some screws or nails. I do get concerned that I'll open it at some point and they'll all go flying because the lid isn't clamped tight. Enough room to house a few screwdrivers, hammer, needle nose pliers, etc. And it's a tough, rugged and well made box. Just a quick photo of how "cute" it looks on the rack in my laundry room! What I like most - as long as everyone remembers to put things back, I'll now have all the common household tools in one place.

Disappointed - latching mechanism is wonky.
I bought this to store on my porch and carry my often-used garden hand tools with me. I imagined a grab-and-go caddy that would keep the rain off my tools and would open in a cinch when I had my hands full of garden dirt or ominously named plants like "Dead Man's Fingers" and "Love Lies Bleeding" set to be planted. (My last garden caddy was an open bucket and all my stuff got wet.)This toolbox IS cute-looking and had the excat storage capacity I was looking for - enough for shears, trowel, gloves, weed pick, garden tape and a can of bug spray. However, the "one hand lid latch" thing doesn't work correctly It worked correctly for the first few days, but after being hauled around in the garden, the lid became misaligned and now it doesn't open with one hand, doesn't close with one hand, and sometimes doesn't close at all until you massage it like a little baby and encourage the lid/latch to align JUST SO.And although it never claimed it was waterproof, water still got into this thing even tho it's stored on the porch. My garden gloves are always sopping and there's a layer of moisture on the bottom and on my toolsI'm disappointed by this product - but will give them the benefit of the doubt because my use (garden caddy) isn't its intended use (tool box).

plastic back hinges. Definitely do NOT purchase any toolbox with back plastic hinges.
the "right" size for my use, good storage, but the back plastic hinges broke in a few months and I didn't even use it frequently. It's hard to find toolboxes listed on Amazon with a photo and description of the back lid hinges. If the manufacturers of toolboxes with back metal hinges listed this as a "feature", they would outsell their competition.
