Even if you don't care for horses, read this book
Part quest, part redemptive love, part comedy, part horses, this is a story about, well, whatever you want it to be about. And I for one (male, old, used to ride a lot) loved it. Like a lot of stories the first 100 pages maybe spend a bit too long on scene setting and back story, but when you get past that, the writer achieves lift off. Pacy, narrative driven, and with a 90% accuracy on the horse front, it fairly whizzes by. The ending is as spottable as a Palomino (and about as subtle) but it doesn't matter because the rest is so endearing. Maybe not the best JoJo book, but certainly in the top three.

Wonderful book
This has got to be one of the best books I have ever read..and I have read a lot of books during 25 years of commuting. Now retired I get to buy an actual book with pages rather than use my e-reader. You laugh and cry. Get angry at the characters because you can see they are completely wrong. Get frustrated with them because they can't see what you can within the pages. Wonderful. Completely unputdownable!

An uplifting story.
This is a lovely story, especially enthralling to horse lovers who know about Haute Ecole. For other readers, not necessarily horse minded, it is still a good read as it portrays the challenge a young girl faces on her own, and how her courage and determination lead her to realise her dreams. Jojo Moyes is an excellent author, whose gammar, vocabulary and knowledge of her chosen subjects are of a high standard. I have enjoyed not only this book but all her others.

Beautiful story
This is one of the most amazing, heart warming, wonderful books I have ever read! I could not put it down! I fell in love with the characters straight away and was moved to tears by what happened to them! I love horses and this story is beautiful. Very highly recommend.

Stick with it
I love Jo Jo Moyes books. This one was a little slow to start and somewhat boring. However it picked up about a third of the way through so I’d say to any reader: stick with it as it really is a lovely story with an even lovelier ending
