MIL MI-24 Hind Gunship

This is another book from one of my favourite and most reliable military publishers.As is normal for Osprey titles, it is well researched, whilst being quite accessible. Lots of information, a fair few photos and diagrams too. It stands comparison with "professional academic" tomes.Recommended for fans of this beast of an aircraft, which in many ways should be retired but still goes on.

This is quite a good title. Everything you ever wanted to know about those deadly fly whisks im the sky.

Das Buch stellt den Stand von 2010 dar und geht damit im Vergleich zu früher erschienen Werken über die Mi-24 auch auf neue Varianten ein. So werden die neusten Varianten vie Mi-35M und Mi-24PN in Bild und Worten gut beschrieben. Das Werk ist mit 48 Seiten und dem Format A5 relativ kompakt. Darin finden sich verschiedene farb- und S/W-Bilder sowie Ilustrationen. Auf Detailfotos muss der Leser verzichten, da der Umfang vornehmlich auf die Geschichte und Einsätze in Konflikten beschränkt ist. Gut beschildert und ilustriert ist auch die Entstehungsgeschichte mit dem Konkurenten der Mi-24, dem Kamow V-24.

Benché non voluminoso questa monografia è ideale per modellisti e appassionati di aviazione. Ricca iconografia, un titolo nemmeno troppo costoso.
