Wow! Very nice sound for such a small package.
Update: Equalizer is a must for this speaker. I finally turned on the Media Player Equalizer after breaking them in and testing for a few days. The sound is much richer now. Before turning on the equalizer, I was 50/50 on keeping the speakers. Now, I'm definitely keeping them. I stuck with the 'Home stereo' EQ profile in Media Player. The other profiles were okay, but weren't my taste. These are fantastic small desktop speakers for the price! I wanted small speakers to not clutter my workspace but didn't want to sacrifice sound quality too much. The Edifier R19U is replacing the Edifier S2000MKIII on the desk.I first tried living with the built-in speakers in the LG 32UN500-W monitor for a day, but it was very fatiguing to listen to anything with them. I stepped up and tried the highly rated Sanyun SW208 speakers. For the price, the SW208 are a hot mess and sounds no better than the built-in monitor speakers. The next options were between the Edifier R19U and the Micca MB42X/PB42X/RB42. I’m happy to report after two straight hours of listening to various genre of music, the R19U is perfect for my needs. Vocals sounds clear. There’s hint of low end. They’re not meant to sound as good as the S2000MKIII, but I have no idea how Edifier made such a small speaker sound so pleasing.I read some reviews about low volume and was initially a little concerned. However, I read/saw somewhere to plug the USB cable into a USB charger and use the 3.5mm cable for audio input to solve the issue. I have my PC audio at 80% and the volume dial on R19U at 40% and it’s plenty loud and filling a 14’ x 14’ office. I tried to turn the volume to 70% and it was way too loud for me.The only con so far is there is piece of wire behind the non-removable fabric grill of the left speaker. It's currently sitting next to the port in the image. I'm not sure where it came from, but hope it's not detrimental to the lifespan of the left speaker. I’m going to keep the R19U and test them for a week, and hope the small defect can just be ignored. In summary, if you need good sound in a small package, give the Edifier R19U a try.

Buena relación calidad-precio. Buen sonido.

Convenience of a single USB connection for sound and power.
I use these on a linux computer, they were plug and play (but make sure master volume is set to 100% (at least for Ubuntu), as for some reason lower values drop the volume to almost zero. You can still then adjust volume through the individual applications, or the big volume knob on the Right speaker. Sound quality is surprisingly good, and volume is more than adequate. They are quite attractive, and have a decent heft to them. Minor annoyance is the red LED light which has the ability to switch between red and green, yet stays red during operation, only changing to a slow red/green cycle when the PC is suspended- why?
