Best bang for your buck
The media could not be loaded. This fridge was shipped directly from dometic, so it confirmed the assumption I had. its exactly like their cc40 model. I’m really happy with it, I’m not a expedition overlander by any means just like to get out there on the weekends and keep cold drinks ready to go in the fridge while I’m at work. I keep it with me in my back seat and it’s worked flawlessly, came with an ac cable so you can use it in your house and prechill it. Good looking unit and has a light inside it. Weighs about 20-30 pounds empty and is made of plastic but durable. I wouldn’t carry it by the handles when full. Handles are sturdy but I wouldn’t trust them completely with a full fridge. The compressor isn’t on all the time. Just like your regular fridge it’ll turn on to reach desired temp. Then the insulation keeps cool unless it’s constantly being opened. Has battery protection features to not over drain your car battery but I have yet to hardwire it. I just keep it plugged in to the dc socket and it cools plenty when I’m on the road for like 15-20 mins to work. It’s nice not having to deal with any ice or iceblocks. It seems to work even better when it’s full, less air pockets. I waited around to buy this and I wish I did it sooner. Don’t expect ARB or high end dometic quality where those can be in direct sunlight and still cool. This needs a bit of help and kept in the shade. You are getting a great entry level fridge for an affordable price. Also forgot to mention dometic themselves back the product and is covered by their warranty

Great value for a refrigerator / freezer
I have two of these Mobicool 40 coolers, and I’ve been very pleased with both of them. I’ve found them to be energy efficient (draw around 50 watts) and reliable. We typically use one as a refrigerator, set to 34F, and one as a freezer, set to 4F (which I believe is the minimum temperature you can set). If we are off-grid camping we power these with solar-charged portable batteries (Jackery 500/1000), and run them on the car DC or AC will traveling. It’s great not to have to worry about ice or having to drain the coolers of excess water due to ice. These have also been handy for us when we travel via AirBNB - we put all of our cold and frozen items in these two coolers for traveling and just plug them in at the AirBNB upon arrival. One of them was accidentally pushed off a table once - the display was damaged, but the cooler still works fine, so they seem pretty durable. We also use these when tailgating, again hooked up to the Jackery solar-charged batteries. Given the price, these are a great value.

Best ever
I am an over the road trucker. I used to buy the plug it truckstop coolers. They would last about 6 months ,and we're always melting plugs and took an hour or more to cool. This thing has been going strong for almost 3 years. It takes about 10 minutes to cool to 38 when it's 80 out.

Has worked well for a year!
Does what is supposed to do. Have driven it around the country for a year with no issues, although I did manage to break the latch the first day. It still closes, but there is nothing to keep it closed.

Received a defective unit. Company resolved the issue quickly and effectively.
UPDATE TO DESCRIPTION BELOW: Company resolved my issue to my satisfaction quickly and effectively. Seems like a good company.Bought the product to keep in the back of my SUV for trips to grocery sore to keep my frozen food frozen or at least close to it in our Phoenix heat, When I plugged it into the12V power adapter in the back of my SUV it did not get power. I tried every other power adapter in the car with it running of off with the same result. It powers up from the outlet and cord in my house, just not from the DC 12V cord. I reviewed the trouble shooting page in the skimpy manual with the product and saw it could be a blown fuse in the adapter. Lo and behold it WAS a blown fuse IN A BRAND NEW, JUST OUT OF THE BOX PRODUCT. So much for QA at Mobicool. I must now find and order a fuse to see if it will work in my car. NOT a great customer experience.

Great portable unit.
I bought the MCF32 and then noticed that the is a larger model MCF40. I ordered the MCF40 and and then immediately went back to cancel the MCF32 order. The cancellation failed and a couple of days later I had two coolers. I requested a return ticket and the system send an un-paid return label. I wrote the seller whom then promptly sent a paid return label. All worked well and very pleased with the transaction. Dealing with the seller was easy and uneventful as it should be! Very pleased.MCF40 Product review:Have been running the MCF40 plugged into the 120v power supply and has chilled to 40F (internal temp is 40F but the LED setting reads 36F) without a hitch! The fan is a little loud but very pleased with the unit. Next step is take it to the boat and test it for a week running off the house battery.

Cooler quality insulation
Would I buy it again despite it take 6 days to deliver, yes.Good: Cooler like insulation that will keep the temperature down when the compressor is off.Bad: Displayed temperature is off by 4-8 deg C.Improvement: Wheels would be nice to have and lower temperature than 12degf.

Decent cooler but the plastic cracked by the plug and now I can't really get the plug in.
The cooler works ok. it's not as nice as an actual Dometic. The plug goes in hard and over time, the plastic around the plug cracked and now I can't get the plug in because it just flexes. Poor design in my opinion. And they would not honor 1 year warranty (it's been 1 year and 2 months) or give any kind of discount for a new one. Another piece of junk off to the landfill, sad.
