Q: What are the diameter of the holes? Thickness of the metal?

The holes are not perfectly uniform or constant diameter. The average diameter on the "front" side (with the Altura lettering) is about 0.017 inches and the diameter on the back side is about 0.009 inches. The holes appear to be arranged in a grid of equilateral triangles, with about 21 holes per inch, which results in about a total of 1500 holes per disc. I'm not sure how the holes were formed, but a tapered hole is typical of either water-jet or laser cutting. The thickness of the disc is about 0.008 inches.

Q: what is the difference between this and the mesh?

This is a single piece of steel with lots of tiny holes in it. It's stronger and thinner than mesh. The mesh filter is sandwiched between two thin rings of metal. Some of the Aeropresses have less of a gap for the filter and the mesh ones don't fit well. Mine's like that and the mesh one lets coffee leak out of the top.

Q: Is there a difference between the stainless steel and mesh rusables?

If by mesh you mean the paper ones, yes there is a big difference. The stainless with its precision drilled holes performs in a more consistent way.

Q: Does this work for mr coffee coffee makers? mr coffee comes with 2 filters, 1 bowl filter and 1 disk, the disk filters water.

It is 2-1/2 inches across the diameter and very thin. I do not know if it would work with a mr coffee coffee maker since I do not have one.
