Revell RV05172 HMS Invincible (Falkland War) Plastic Model kit, 1:700

Purchased this at same time as Revell Ark Royal 1/720, for a very similar price and its difficult to grasp the quality difference between the two considering both made by Revell and matching price more or less. This is a far superior model in terms of plastic quality, very little flash if any, nice clean lines, bevelled edges make assembly a treat with minimal clean up after glueing. This is a really nice model! The one issue I had with this were the raised line markings on the deck that are about 0.5mm, scaled up, those lines would stand over a foot tall, not very good for a pilot taking off!! They had to be sanded off, but thats just me. A great model. Easy to assemble, minimal clean up, Great starter kit and for those who want a nice model without dedicating weeks to it. I would recommend this for sure

My husband took great care and attention assembling this model. It took him almost 3 weeks to make. He even purchased an Airbrush compressor for a flawless finish. I must admit, I'm very impressed by it. Husband is now assembling model number 3!

Very good kit and the pieces are very good fitting but the only think is the instructions are wrong and the spurs are wrong, spurs b and d are the same so you have to be very careful and really look at the picture and spurs but apart from this issue I am impressed with the quality of the kit that Is why I have given it 4 stars instead of 5

It took me to days to build and I injoyed it till the very last price was put in to place great detail work in plastic I do injoy building ships since I was a kid but on a larger scale

Always check the box for missing parts. The model has been made up in memory of my brother who died in November. My brother served on HMS Invincible. My husband went to the box only to find that the transfers were missing. We have written to Revill to no avail. No way to contact the seller now
