Better than having to buy batteries all the time.
These are used for a few things, nothing that uses a lot of power, so these work. If used regularly, they need recharged once a week or so.

Just as good as you can buy locally, if you can find locally
I purchased 3 of these 9 volt rechargeable batteries as I use them in a a stun gun. When I bought alkaline, the battery would run out of power in a few weeks. So, since these can be recharged 100 times, I save money by charging them overnight. It takes about 7 hours. I used to use RayOvac but RayOvac is slightly larger and would barely fit into my stun gun (RayOvac also used to be sold on amazon.com). Energizer is regular size & fits just right with 8.4 volts (8.4Vcc) NIMH. Some rechargeables are just 7.4 volt, so be careful what you purchase. By the way, it has been increasing harder to find rechargeable 9 volt batteries in supermarkets (and I live in Seattle), so I turned to amazon.com, and found what I needed. They also seem to hold a charge longer then the RayOvacs. They are made in China for a company in St. Louis, Missouri. UPC # is 0 39800 00916 6.

Battery Economy
I bought this product for my TENS machine which I use almost on a daily basis. I used to buy normal batteries for the TENS and ended up spending quite a lot on batteries weekly. The rechargeable Energizer has proved to be very economical.

Buena calidad.
Es una batería recargable que funciona. Hace lo que tiene que hacer. La carga es buena, no es extraordinaria pero tampoco es mala.

Good battery, lasts a long time without recharging
I've had this in my smoke detector for the past year, and the voltage is still holding up well even though I haven't recharged it. So, although this battery doesn't state it's low-self-discharge, it appears to be. It may not be cost-effective (compared to alkalines) in a low-drain device like a smoke detector, but I know I can charge it up and it's like having a fresh battery always on hand. Plus, NiMH batteries won't leak and ruin your device, like alkalines can. This would be very cost-effective in something that uses more power, like a mic or remote for a RC toy.
