It is finished in a durable polyester powder coating and is corrosion resistant throughout. Easily fitted to Aluminium and wooden greenhouses it will lift up to 7kg (15.45 lbs), i.e a vent weighing up to 14kg (glass area not exceeding 0.75m² in an aluminium frame), with a maximum opening of 35cm (14 inches). Manufactured in the UK by a company with 50 years experience of these vents - please do not compare with cheap far east copies.

Small & compact, they do exactly what they're intended to do
These are just great! They do exactly what they're supposed to do. Easy to install & adjust. I originally wondered whether they would work on the vertical wooden sashes that open outward from the bottom on my salvaged sash & barnwood greenhouse. An email to the manufacturer received an immediate reply along with a PDF of the instruction sheet. Small & compact; they do not have a cylinder that projects into the room which would have been in the way on my installation. I needed 5 but only purchased 3 untill I knew how well they worked. They work so well that now I need 2 more!Shipping was from Europe & I received them 5 days after the date of order! That's better than some "2 day" shipping! Pay the extra 2 dollar upshipping charge, it's worth it.One important note: remove during the winter if your greenhouse is seasonal. It got down to -33 degrees last winter & I was told to remove the cylinder over winter.But then again, I'm just a FOG & what do I know.

well made, works well.
I put this on a 6 ft x 8 ft Harbor Freight greenhouse and it works well. Some time ago I had tried a similar unit from Harbor Freight but had to return it unused because it had leaked oil while new in the box. After reading all the 1 star reviews on other openers I chose this one and from appearances it seems to be better made than the HF one.
