NYSTCE School Building Leader (107/108) Test Secrets Study Guide: NYSTCE Exam Review for the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations. Pap/Psc St Edition

I purchased this book after completing my educational leadership program. I studied from it for about a month before my exam 100/101. When reading the book, you will notice that their is numerous spelling errors, but focus on the questions section. This section is similar to the questions on the 100 exam. Also, you will need to review the sample test on the nyboe site to see the essay questions (they use the same format as the sample with a different scenario). If you know anyone who has taken these exams, ask them what the essay questions were, as they repeat them frequently (my friends and I took the test around the same time on different days and we all got the same questions).

Part of my struggle with passing the examination seems to be the 15 min video observation. I feel as though I write it up well. However, it seems like I am falling short on that component of the exam. My suggestion is to incorporate that piece of the test in some capacity.

It has been 6 years since I received my masters in SBL. This book supported and provided the necessary guidance and read to practice for the test.

The product was fine - good condition and shipped well. However, I didn’t find the content and questions all that useful.

I like that the book divides up the content into subheadings which made it easier to focus my studying. To be honest, if these questions are truly representative of the questions on the actual exam, I feel prepared.July 2016 Edit After Taking the Exams: Content is an okay review I guess (though you can get that type of review free online from the NYSED website), but the practice questions are not at all the same as those on the actual exams. These are stand alone questions while the actual tests ask questions off of data sets. I brought this to the attention of the company who is currently working on edits, so they say. That didn't help me much since I took both parts of the test already and didn't get any refund from Mometrix (would love my money back). Gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped they'd send me a free copy of the sdl review book but that's apparently also still being edited. Not sure why they're still selling the "review" book if they're editing it to match the actual test.I wanted to love this review book, but it just wasn't worth the money, nor were the flashcards I also purchased from Mometrix. Just thankful I passed the exams on my own.

I love that it gives you tips, websites, practice test and explanations of answers. It is very organized and helps you understand how to take the test. I feel this book will help me prepare for when it's time to take the exam.

I ordered your book about a month ago, based upon recommendations of others, and have just started going through it. I immediately liked the layout and found the various section organization helpful. The anxiety and tip section are a great addition just to calm nerves and keep perspective.I think the book is laid out in a cohesive logical format and I find it easy to read. It is a great refresher to my coursework thus far.Thank you for a great book!

It is a rigorous, comprehensive review. I recommended it to my friends and classmates who are also future leaders. Two huge big thumbs up! They even provide you with a free dvd for giving them feedback.
