ToneriderAC2 Alnico II Classic Humbucker Set - Black

Upgraded a Harley Benton Fusion III HSH config, replaced the Roswells which are decent but a little lacking.Money well spent, I'm very happy with the result!More sparkle, less microphonic. Just had to be careful wiring to get the polarity correct when ganged with the middle single coil pickup.

These are great bridge between humbuckers and P90s. Nice aggressive growl and clarity without the noise associated with P90s. Toneriders are always a fantastic bargain, easily sound as good if not better than pickups that are twice the price.

I used these in my last home build and was very happy with them. My usual pickup choice for an all around good tone is Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pros, but figured I would try these since they were half as much. They sound great clean or dirty.

Would have given 5 stars but one of plastic cases was cracked during shipping. Fortunately the pickup came wrapped in foam so there was no damage to the pickup. The pickups fit well into my PRS Se custom 24. I like these pickups better than stock ones.

Sound great. Love the construction quality and materials of tonerider pickups. I have a set of there tele pickups too.Tonerider will always be my go to simply due to the extreme value for the money.

Trying to keep this review succinct. These really surprised me. I had experience with Toneriders from a set of their P90s I received in a used guitar previously, so I knew they were good. I bought these for a repair guitar I planned to "flip". I wanted passably decent pickups, but did not want to spend a lot. Just about any name brand would have worked for my purposes, so i looked for used Duncans and Dimarzios...etc. Not finding anything priced low enough, I decided these would be "good enough" and bought them.I have a lot of guitars. And a lot of high end guitars. I have owned and used the following humbuckers: Sheptone AB, Fralin Hot PAF, OX-4, Onamac Windery Top Shelf A2, Lollar Imperials, and Hamer early Dimarzios. Gibson 57 Classics, Tarbacks, T-Tops, Dirty Fingers, and Tim Shaw PAFs. Duncan A2, JB, 59, and Little 59. EMG 85 and 81. I could go on. But, my favorite humbuckers have always been Tim Shaw PAFs.These Tonerider AC2s sound very close to the Shaw PAFs. I'd say within 5%. To me, this is how a humbucker should sound. Honestly, I'm searching for faults and not finding them. So, before you go and spend at least $250 on any of the boutique brand pickups, give these a try for $65.00.I hope this is helpful. I've been playing for 40+ years. I almost never write Amazon reviews. This is the second set of truly impressive pickups I've tried from Tonerider.

I had to return and exchange the bridge p/u for the F-shaped. For a 52.mm string spacing for my application instead of the 50mm. These folks are whervery helpful in my exchange and took very lil' time, will buy from again.

We don’t need to buy Seymour Duncans anymore. Great pickups

Para el precio que tienen, disponen de una gran pegada. La pastilla del mástil para mi gusto tiene un sonido espectacular.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Utilisé pour équiper une Les Paul Custom made in china de chez Tokai. Et bien ça permet vraiment d'avoir un son plus aéré grace au niveau de sortie plus doux que les micros stock. Belle dynamique qui remue bien mon Marshall Origin 50c sans devenir criard.

si beh non ero completamente convinto che mi sarebbero piaciuti e che fossero all'altezza, anche se ne parlano bene di questa casa, non ne avevo mai avuto prove dirette...devo dire che provandoli bene mi sono piaciuto molto, suono molto dinamico bello come ti aspetti da un humbucker ma non troppo chiuso ne troppo aperto che diventa fastidioso... probabilmente merito anche dell'alnicoII.in ogni caso la potenza di questi pu è ideale... ci fai un pò di tutto... non li ho provati splittati perché reputo quasi inutile, sarebbe troppo fiacchi ma potrebbero piacere, non è detto.insomma li consiglio a tutti quelli che hanno bisogno di un humbucker bello versatile, e soprattutto ad un costo cosi basso, di solito devi spendere il doppio per un pickup come questo, tipo il gibson burstbucker o classic 57

I'm not usually impressed enough to leave feedback off my own back on products that I have bought, however I was so impressed with these pickups that I felt I just had to. Really nicely packaged, looked a quality product when taking them out of the box and good, clear fitting instructions. I put them into my Epiphone Gothic Les Paul Studio, and what a difference they made to the overall sound, it gave my guitar a new lease of life. Nice, bassy lows, crisp, clear highs and prominent mid range sounds make these an excellent choice as a replacement set of pickups. The only negative that I can draw from these are the supplied springs didn't work with my mounting rings, however this is no hardship as I just used the springs that were already on my guitar. All in all a great product and I would definitely buy them again.
