Helinox Protective Ground Sheet Accessory for Camp Chairs

Helinox chairs are great, but a few models have pointy plastic feet. Even in a grassy field where it isn't that wet the chair can still sink in. It isn't always a problem, but at the very least makes the chair sit lower, and at worst can get the chair stuck or cause you to lose the feet off the ends of the poles. The ground sheet is here to solve that problem! This item works great on any soft soil, gravel, or sand.The ground sheet makes the chair not only usable but much more stable on almost all loose surfaces and I tend to use it almost always except for the driest of ground. It is made well very well with the same quality you get with the Helinox chairs. It has 4 plastic pads that slip over the feet of your Helinox chair. Like the chair itself it can be a bit difficult to slip the groundsheet over the feet at first until you get the hang of it. It is rectangular so make sure you have it oriented correctly. It also has a strap that clips around the bottom support of your chair. This makes the whole thing even more snug and stable. You can see in the pictures that the wider plastic feet increase the surface area enough, but then the sheet itself adds even more to make it even more stable on sand or very loose dirt. The ground sheet fits nicely into the chair one bag, so no need to worry about finding a bigger bag. It even fits the helinox cup holder as well. These two items have made this fantastic chair into the absolute perfect camping chair for my needs.

If you have a Chair Zero L and are wondering which ground sheet to buy, it uses the same ground sheet as the Chair One. I am not sure why this information is not available in more places, but it is on the packaging for the groundsheet. It also works great on my Chair Zero L. This is a great piece of gear to keep your chair from sinking in the sand or soft dirt while on an adventure. Some ultra-light enthusiasts will scoff at the idea of backpacking a chair, but my joy in having a good chair to sit in at the end of the day outweighs the minor additional weight.

Material is definitely sturdy and fits the Helinox One chair well. It is quite difficult to get on, but after watching some quick YouTube videos on how the easiest way to put it on it was a quick strong tug and a push and it was on snug as a bug. We are currently keeping it on for some for it to stretch out a little so hopefully make it a little easier to get on in the future. Can't wait to use it at the beach, soccer games, and camping.

I definitely needed a solution to sinking in the sand. Too bad accessories seem like an after-market money grab. It is quality and it works perfectly.

This has made my Moonlance backpacking chair into a super chair! My chair is an older version that doesn't look like they are making any more, but the mat is awesome. Just make sure and take measurement for your own chair. This has kept my chair from sinking into the dirt or snow, I am not at a prime comfort level out in the wilderness!

Love the chair and this is pretty much a must-have. Not liking another thing to pack or lose.. I really wish the company would look into incorporating this with the chair carrying bag. Maybe they can send me a prototype. :)

Love the chair I’ve had it for many years. Purchased the ground sheet for an upcoming backpacking trip. Prior to packing it with the chair I wanted to demo the device. Upon adding the device to the feet, I noticed the material is too tight and it almost seemed like it didn’t fit with the chair one as listed on the packaging. I was pulling on the material to the point where the legs were bending and the feet were not sitting correctly. I was apprehensive to pull any farther in fear of breaking the chair legs. I set up a return for this item and purchased the Vibram balls that attached to the chair to avoid sinking instead. I had high hopes for this item and still love this company, just wish their quality control may have been better on this item.

This is so well made. Small and light enough that it is nothing to carry. Would buy again!

I've had this for a couple of months now and used it on soft, damp ground (England, so very normal) and have experienced zero sinkage. A really good piece of kit. Will fit in the Helinox bag along with the rest of the chair. Some people have claimed that it's hard to get the mat on to the legs but I'm not sure why. Each corner has a loop on to help you get the corner pockets over the legs and I'm not exactly built like Arnold Schwarzeneggar and I can get it on without too much difficulty.

Es compatible con chair one y chair zero. Esta información no aparece en la web de amazon a la hora de la compra. Funciona de maravilla con la chair one. Probado, funciona, es fácil de trasportar porque viene con un clip para llevarlo y ocupa como una billetera grande. Muy practico, no se hunde en la arena de la playa. Volvería a comprarlo.

De producent hoort het misschien niet graag, maar ik heb dit gekocht in combinatie met een ander merk kampeerstoel (onetigris) en dat werkt prima! Ik heb meteen een tweede gekocht voor mijn andere kampeerstoel.
