I wanted to love this doorbell, I really did. Are home is all homekit, so I had been waiting years for a smart doorbell we could actually use, as any doorbell that doesn't support homekit is a non-starter. Got this about a month ago, installed it a few weeks after that. It blew several fuses during the installation even though it was being installed to the specifications listed--everytime we tried to install it, it would have different issues and different lights doing different things, and there was no consistency--every time was different--so it was difficult to understand what the issue(s) were. Nevertheless, knowing we had everything set up correctly, we kept trying, and several blown fuses later, it actually installed. However, after being installed, the video quality was terrible, it would freeze/drop video constantly, it only even initiated video about 50% of the time, and it almost never sent a notification to the phone. This doorbell was my first choice because of it's minimal/modern aesthetic, but it's really not ready for prime time. We returned it.

I waited patiently for this smart doorbell to be released by Netatmo. Now that I have it installed at my home, I can confidently say it was worth the wait.Pros:-The video call functionality (when someone rings the bell) works equally well in both Netatmo's Security app and Apple's Home app. You can choose which apps you want to answer the video call in, and which app the call will ring in. The calls are working flawlessly between my doorbell and my iPhone.-Doorbell camera detects motion by people, and can be configured to save the video in memory. Note: this doorbell will not detect or save video for motion caused by cars or animals--only people. It's not meant to be a replacement for a security camera (like their Outdoor Camera).-You can setup the video recordings to be backed-up to a Dropbox account for online storage.-Using iOS' Home app (HomeKit), you can setup automations such as, turn on lights when doorbell detects motion by a person.-Installation and setup was SURPRISINGLY straightforward. I was expecting it to be a complicated mess. The manual was actually very helpful and concise (no annoying long technical paragraphs to digest).-Uses existing doorbell chime and wiring for power (no batteries to swap out)-No subscription fees. The video recordings save to memory on the doorbell. Or you can back them up to a free Dropbox account if you want to have them stored online.Cons:-Only one I can think of at the moment is the video recordings will not yet save to HomeKit Secure Video. Not sure if Netatmo plans to add support for that down the road.Note: my doorbell wiring and chime are fairly new, and a simple, standard variety. Our existing chime and doorbell hardware were the cheap, generic model found at Home Depot ("Hampton Bay Wired Door Chime Deluxe Contractor Kit").

Bought 2 doorbells based on some negative heat issues with the only real competitor at the time. I knew HKSV might not happen despite promises. That is not my complaint. I set it up to FTP any motion-detected video to my NAS.Experienced every negative thing listed in other reviews here: random “bad SD card” errors, slow motion detection that would usually capture a video or the delivery person / mail carrier’s back walking away after the delivery.Then one of the doorbells just went dead. Reset while connected to usb charger did nothing. Tech support unhelpful. This was 1 year and 4 months after purchase from Amazon. Turns out, had I bought directly from Natatmo site warranty would have been 2 years, but only 1 year if purchased from other sites. Which rep confirmed. And rep emailed me that they have no repair program.That’s right, despite buying two doorbells and spending $600, LeGrand/Netatmo support won’t extend the warranty, offer any repair option, offer a discount on a replacement unit, escalate to customer relations, or even reply to my emails asking if there is any other options.Avoid like plague.

this is hands down the best video doorbell in the market works simultaneous with apple homekit google and alexa easy to install and works like charmmotion detection is faster then ring and august and like i said works with all platforms apple google and alexa unlike the other doorbell’s i am very happy with netatmo doorbell

This doorbell does nearly everything that I wanted/expected it to do. It rings my wired doorbell, notifies my on my HomePod mini and plays nicely with HomeKit. Unfortunately, they never did release HomeKit Secure Video, which I really wanted.

Did not work. No response from Netatmo through their support portal, email and Facebook. Waited 10 days and then returned the product. Will go with Logitech.
