TV Games Deluxe Golden Tee

This game is like most old ones it seems like. It has its flaws, but if you know how to overcome them, the game is awesome.I've had it for almost two years now and it's doing great. I take it apart every two weeks to clean the rollers (soft brush and blowing it off). Anyone can take it apart, nothing complex. Works better than when I got it new after every cleaning. (You do go through batteries pretty often, but worth it)I read someone's review about how it didn't seem to work right when they first used it, but after "breaking it in a little" it worked just fine... I second that. I got frustrated with it the first day, but after a couple of hours it seemed to do the same for me. Go to the practice mode and just keep swinging for an two or three hours.This game is not like the one you play at the bars. But I can promise you something. If you get good at this one (especially practicing pulling back at different angles) you will beat almost everyone at the bar. I haven't come close to losing and I'm playing against people that play several times a week. Putting on both this one and 2017 are very similar.Fight through the flaws and it will improve your 2017 game tremendously.

I ordered 1 as a gift and 1 for our home. I was SUPER impressed with the delivery of the game - I still am amazed at how fast it was received at both residences - in 2 different states. We both received it - the NEXT day w/o having to pay for next day. The excitement wore off in 5 days - after playing with my husband - 4 times - the unit stopped working correctly. Had to keep restarting it, we'd complete 1 hole and go to next- glide hand over ball - screen goes black.We gave up after 5 tries and on different courses. Let is rest a day - but same thing happened. The gift unit had to be returned as they already had the game. It was returned within 3 days - never opened etc. I understand I would have to pay return shipping but I can not figure out how it was calculated? I'm getting a total refund of 36% of the purchase price - all the rest went to returning shipping - even with 20% restock - it still doesn't calculate. When it did work, we enjoyed playing.

Pretty awesome game- track ball is very responsive and the general speed of the game with regards to loading and responsiveness to pushing the buttons is outstandings. Graphics are so-so but to be expected and does not affect game play at all. Have only played this by myself for a couple days but can see this being a hit with my friends. The only odd thing are that some of the commentary is strange. For example if you hit a bad shot it will sometimes say "does your husband play golf", which I would assume is some type of gay reference made by a Chinese developer that again is very out of play. Regardless, 3 courses, up to 4 players, and tons of fun. For the price you cannot go wrong.

I was definitely misguided on the condition of the product, thus I will not order from this person/business again. The ball has scratches and scuffs all of it. The start select button gets stuck. Seems like the screen is fuzzy. Not sure if that is because it is an older game or what, but I am not too impressed. Love the playing the actual game though.

I used to play Golden Tee in all the bowling alleys I travelled to. Loved the game. I've gone through many gaming consoles over time, but rollerball games have never really crept into the home console market and have thus shut me out from ever having the chance to play the likes of Golden Tee or Capcom Bowling at home. When purchasing this game I wasn't expecting too much. I just saw the chance to have a roller baller at home and with this price tag figured even if it was a bust it was still too cheap to pass up.The game's graphics aren't too hot, but that was expected. They're on par with the Golden Tees of the late 90's. The gameplay however is pretty spot on. There's just one issue... albeit a fairly large one, that comes into play. The putting system isn't quite there. You just can't give the roller enough power to make longer putts. Anything over maybe 55ft is impossible to reach.If I spent $50+ on this game I would be peeved, but for this cheap price.... if putting is the only problem... and long putts only that is, I'll take it. The game is still fun for all ages and easy to pick up. An old arcade junkie like myself may see the few shortcomings when compared to the original, but anyone new to the game will just enjoy.

Pretty good home version. Graphics are lacking and ball controller is not the best, but it's a good way to kill a few hours with friends.

This game is really a lot of fun once you practice a bit and get a feel for it. The tee and fairway shots are pretty much in alignment with how you pull back and push the roller ball forward. You can even hook or pull your shots as required. Putting is difficult, but with practice becomes more manageable and I agree with some other reviews that there are times when you are too far from the hole to make the putT even if you hit it as hard as you can. Where you need to really be careful is with chipping using the SW or PW. I recommend you only push forward and very gently on the roller ball - otherwise you launch your ball over the green constantly. It also has backspin or foward spin options. It was frustrating at first, but once you figure out the games little intricacies, it can be fun for all ages. Highly recommend you play the skins game b/c everyone has a bad hole eventually and this keeps the games fun. It also has a stroke limit that is a great way to keep the younger ones in the game. GET THIS GAME!
