Beautiful... with a quirky character (see below)!!
I thought that this waste bin was quite expensive but I wanted one that was pure white and which also featured a lid so that you weren't staring at the rubbish contained all the time. Well I can happily say that this bin is a lovely pure white in colour, with a nice 'expensive looking' shiny finish. It's an ideal size for our bedroom and looks lovely and modern. I was less concerned about the cost when the bin arrived as it was clear that it's not made of a cheap plastic so immediately the money seemed well spent.I am not sure exactly what the material is but it's 'weighty' and very 'solid-feeling'. It has more the 'feel' of a hard bakolite or resin material. Whatever it is made of the effect is good — and it's way better than a typical modern 'plastic' waste bin.I also like the shape because, as far as a bin can be, it is elegant and strikingly good looking! In the pictures you may be forgiven for assuming that the bin is perfectly round, but it's actually a very-rounded squarish shape (which looks really good). The lid fits nice and snugly into the top and there's a 'flip-type' lid action when used. Now there is the interesting thing — I had read in a couple of reviews that the lid 'swings' for ages when you deposit some rubbish into the bin. I was puzzled that people even bothered to mention this, as they seemed very insignificant remarks to make. However, I know EXACTLY what those reviewers meant. If ever there was a challenge to exhibit perpetual motion' in a bin lid then this Umbra should be up there winning all the awards!! My wife and I found it quite amusing to observe that the lid will 'swing' quite happily, making a small clicking sound, for ages and ages. It's quite remarkable and doesn't bother us... it's just something that you don't expect. I think it's largely because the very solid material is quite heavy and the lid, once 'rocked' simply wants to keep on 'rocking' (and don't we all!!). I would not let this 'perpetual' characteristic put you off this waste bin because it's, if anything, more of a conversation piece than an issue. You can stop the rocking action by just holding the lid gently to sap its enthusiasm a little if you wish. I prefer to let it swing away into the early hours! The bottom line is that I would heartily recommend this strikingly well made waste bin... and would buy more of them. It's a BIN OF BEAUTY!!!

Best waster bin for toilet
This is the best waste bin in toilet ever. Had one from local Tkmaxx but didcontinuted . So getting another one from Amazon. I am a fan of Umega design: high quality, modern style, neutral design. Many bin looks pretty on pics but comes with cheap plastic surface. This one is both stylish and practical .

Ordered twice and twice received the bin with no lid
Ordered this bin twice and both times didn’t get the lid, so in essence a very expensive plastic waste bin! Really hacked off
