I had purchased this product mainly for automotive work, as well as particularly long screw shafts. I haven't had the chance yet though to to use it on my car, but for the few applications I have done it seems alright.Pros:Overall construction is made of robust rubber and plastic. It looks like it'll take a few drops no problem. The interface is very simple and gets the job done. With options to change picture resolution, language, date/time, brightness, etc. Don't need it to do much else. Dedication buttons for taking photos and changing the camera brightness is also a neat feature. There is also a dedicated light that is toggled with the left trigger button which was a neat feature for lowlight situations. I also really appreciate the fact that the rechargeable battery is a standard 18650 Lo-ion flat-top cell. Just a simple button tab holding it in, which will make future battery changes easy in a pinch. The 16.5FT camera length is also very nice with a nice rigid cable to hold its shape, though a side note it is a little difficult to cable manage. But better to have more than less. Having the dedicated screen is also a very nice feature to have to get a live view of what is going on under the hood.Cons:The permanently attached camera cable is a little off-putting. There have been some reports of users having the camera-casing come off the scope, rendering it useless. Having no means of replacing it does worry me over the longevity. Also, the screen quality is not the greatest. There is a noticeable screen gap of a few millimeters, and viewing angles are very poor. Though I'm not expecting smartphone-grade screens at this price. Also, the actual quality of the photos are to be desired. They are serviceable, but there is noticeable pixilation despite being technically 1080p. Also, some minimum amount of onboard storage would be appreciated. An additional micro SD card is required to take and save photos to the device. Also, the micro-USB port is only for charging, it does not transfer photos between it and the PC. You would need to remove the micro SD card and then connect it to your PC or other device and transfer it that way. Also, it would have been nice to include video recording as well instead of just photo.Conclusion:For the price point, it is definitely a worthwhile product. At the $50 price point on Amazon this is what to expect from a borescope. You go cheaper and you forgo having the built-in screen, most of the time requiring your smartphone as a stand-in. If you want higher resolution, higher fidelity photos, removable cables, or video capability, then you would need to spend upwards of $100 or more. Otherwise, for $50 and often cheaper with frequent promotions, this borescope is a fantastic tool for any DIYer's toolbox.

I recently lost my new iPhone 12 Pro in a crack way deep in a rock. Somehow the rock was perfectly fitted for the thickness of my phone and was in a very difficult place to reach and see. We tried several methods and almost gave up until we found this option. Thankfully, after getting a this $50 endoscope and a $12, 5' grabber claw, I was able to locate and retrieve the parts our previous attempts of getting my phone (see photo), and then we found my phone, send the grabber down, saw when we had a good grip on it, and pull it out! It only left a barely noticeable scratch on the corner of my phone screen, but overall it saved me. Definitely would recommend this for retrieving something from a deep, tight spot.P.S. I didn't get many good pictures because I was focused on getting my phone, but the quality is pretty dang good.

I have owned 2 endoscopes in the past. Both required a phone or tablet to stream the poor quality video feed. I didn't expect this endoscope to be any different, but boy, I was wrong. The video quality is great. The screen is clear. The buttons are responsive. The LED lights are bright and there is a button that changes the brightness or shut the light completely off. Even with the LED lights off, the video is still clear. The only complain I have is the "brightness" label not having its first letter capitalized. That doesn't affect the functional at all.

I bought this thinking of it more as a guy toy, but it's been much more useful than I originally thought.It powered up right out of the box, and the buttons are intuitive and in the right place for my hands (well, it's oriented for the right hand, but I'm adaptable).I love having the time and date on the screen, as well as battery level, just like a phone/tablet. The extra led lights on the body is an unexpected extra, however it's not very bright. Having an SD card available is a bonus, but I usually use this in real time, and probably won't use this feature until I film a documentary on the underground life of cicadas.I've already used this to find a leak inside the bathroom wall, to find a dropped screw in a lawn mower engine, and most unusually, to remove a splinter in my thumb! (My thumbprint shown in my photo looked great on the screen.) It works as a well-lit, moderately magnified scope for minor surgeries.

Update:The seller sent a new device, not broken this time. Can't get mad at them, it was more than likely a manufacturing defect. It happens.I still feel the same with this, and will give it 5 stars for now.Just received this endoscope today, and immediately upon opening the package, the part where the camera is was missing something. Everything is exposed on it.The screen is great throughout. Excellent feel of the buttons, the UI is easy to maneuver, great viewing quality, and feels sturdy.I give this product a 5 star.

I needed this product to snake a couple of my drains. Ordering it without any reviews was nerve wracking, but I liked the specs and so I ordered it anyways. I wasn’t disappointed! Both drains that I snaked were full of water, so I can verify that it is indeed waterproof. The image quality was not good at first, but I realized that you can change the image quality in the settings. Once I changed it to 1080, it looked much better! The optical cord has some rigidity to it, which is good. It charges relatively quick. The only thing I’d change about this product is a bigger battery. After about 30 minutes of use, with the highest brightness on the optical light and my screen, it had consumed well over half the battery. All in all, this cost about $50. For that price, I’d say this is a great deal!

I purchased this unit because my old endoscope just connected to my phone and because of my new phone it no longer worked. I was looking for something that came with its own screen. This unit fits the bill perfectly. It has a battery for remote work or you can plug it into a standard 5 volt phone charger (the cable is included but not the charger). It is very portable plus you can use as sd card to record video or take pictures. The company offers great support. If you have any issues contact them directly instead of Amazon and they will respond very quickly to solve any issues.

over very nice looking solid came right on out of the box crisp clear image on cam then put it away took it out later to try it on a call turned it on come on but no image black its on but solid black picture tried factory reset no go then reset no go all works can up date and change setting no issue that screen come up but put back to cam from setup black o the little leds come on at the end of the corded cam so that works toohopefully someone contacts me or otherwise the next review will list it as total junk if it sees nothing but dark i think the little cam on the end blew or somem ok company got a hold of me sending replacement and rtn first one to amazon ok this is cool already gave the unit a review will summit new review once replacement comesgreat company went above and beyond to contact me sending out replacement right away before rtn is on way which will be today again awesome customer service good to seereceived replacement unit all good works and looks great had issue quick to solve highly recommend this seller and product and will show other tradesmen the unit and promote it great little device and as a building superintendent this is gonna make finding leaks and stuff so much easier thanks again my greatest thanks for timely actionshave a great day

Camera quality is good but considering the camera and LED's are small it doesn't see far in a dark spot, by far It may be 8-12 inches back but it will approx 6 inches ish, Otherwise it has a nice clear image which is great and sure does beat the heck out of a $700 snap on camera I'd say, longevity is to be determined.

Ordered this product it arrived on time. Also it was the most affordable seller. The description matches what is posted. The camera cord is durable. It comes with a USB cord attachment. Great! This is the handheld version of a larger endoscope by Lonove. Same great picture quality in a more compact unit. Needed to see above a ceiling, and this did the trick. Very easy to use, and handy to have. The unit works very well. All accessories were as promised. Be careful with attachments that go on the camera lens. Very easy to navigate controls. Powerful light with on/off switch. The settings menu gives you good options to customize unit for your needs. Replaceable rechargeable battery a big plus. A million and one uses!
